Easy for any skillset
What do you like best about the product?
The user experience and ease of use. You do not have to be a marketing, SEO, BI analyses or any such role in understanding this platform
What do you dislike about the product?
The need to install it 'in code' for it to function. Which is unavoidable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing us to supercharge our help center.
Algolia search is good overall
What do you like best about the product?
The integration with Algolia search API was so easy and the documentation was extremely helpful and easy to get started.
Also, got a learning path on how does Algolia search algorithm works. There is an Algolia search academy for that!
The business representative was quick to on-board. Also, the pricing is great! Extremely economical.

What do you dislike about the product?
The search algorithm is a black box. Had to do a lot of hit-and-trial iterations. Also, don't understand how can I fully optimise the algorithm. Would need more case studies on this (industry-specific case studies to improve search)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Search is one of the most critical features for an end-user to find out what they are looking for on any platform.
As part of this project; we have evaluated how effective our current search is. Based on the evaluation; we have found out that the relevance of the first search result for current Razorpay docs is 0.47 as compared to 0.80 for Stripe.
We evaluated a few search solutions and were able to achieve a first search relevance score of 0.87 with Algolia search API.
This project improved the relevance of our search results drastically and create a better experience for end users. The CTR of first search results improved by 10%.

What do you like best about the product?
Algolia is a very powerful search engine, we manage to set it up very quickly just by using our product feed
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems to be magic, but if you want to be very efficient you have to train the user to do a good merchandising

Fast search engine with powerful e merchandising feature
Developer-friendly but also has Non-Developer capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
The robustness of the indexing, particularly the synonyms. Analytics are precise and manual adjustments to common searches is literally drag and drop. The ability to tweak your algorithm as you view analysis is unique to Algolia.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up the initial indexing does take some time and developer know-how, but it is a manageable task for most developers who are familiar with your technology stack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have both a product index for ecommerce as well as a large database of locations and Algolia allows us to keep those indexes separate to manage the rank of the results, but we can also combine them for a mega search experience.

What do you like best about the product?
Quick onboarding, minimal tech implementation for integration and ease of usage, alongside providing a cleaner support for the Ops and Configuration teams for enhancing the search results.
What do you dislike about the product?
Enterprise license is a lot more powerful and Algolia lacks in providing strong Foundational support for an early or non-enterprise licenses, this impacts the search quality.

A very strrong Search implementation usig Algolia without investing too much on nitty gritties and ES/Solr impkementaion, helped invest energies rightly and help Ops with right configutaions support

> AB Testing - Algolia has inbuilt AB testing which weighs it high in the market and this helps the product managers to take the right decisions using the analytics features too.
> Analytics - The analytics feature in Algolia is quite decent with detailed information and this helps us to take certain decisions and make changes in the logic of search.

> Relevancy - The relevancy of the results can be optimized much better in terms of the AI / ML / NLP tool to understand what the customer is exactly searching for and show accordingly.
> Expensive :-D yeah, it is quite expensive compared to the market and not all companies can afford the tool even if they want to.
> Customized Support: They can have dedicated account managers so that the Alogila team can analyze our integrations and performance and suggest us to use the tool to its max potential. Today this is not the case so we are probably not using it to the highest capabilities.

Algolia is helping our customers find the right products faster using Internal Search. In simple words for a physical store customers ask the sales assistant to find the right product, in eCommerce customers use the search option to find the products and that's exactly where Algolia is doing its job.
Algolia is a great internal search engine tool for big eCommerce platforms, it is one of the best tools in the market. The available features and configurations help the product manager to relevant search results to their customers. The best thing is the results are instant once the integration is done.

What do you like best about the product?
Algolia saves me a lot of time. It's easy to start with. Configurable enough to fit with our business and with great reliability and performance.
Documentation and support are great.
In addition, it offers you lots of cutting-edge features to improve conversion and user experience.

What do you dislike about the product?
It might look pricy if you only use basic features. Compared to internal solutions or hosting some lighter open source solutions.

First and most important problem solved is having a responsive marketplace with all the filters we need on a big database

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Algolia is so easy to use for both developers and business-side folks. Now that we've integrated it into our search system, we can iterate often as we learn more about our users and test search ranking improvements. For the business side, I like the ability to see clear usage analytics as well as the system proactively offering synonyms and other options to further boost our search experience. In addition, their team is very easy to work with and has been receptive to feedback and supports us as necessary. It does feel like Algolia offers great service and it has been very appreciated by our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some tools still feel MVP which can be a drag. An example of that is Algolia offers synonyms (where you can make similar phrases return the same result) but the AI re-ranker feature doesn't fully respect them which can break your user experience goals. I do hope Algolia can share more updates and plans for iterating on existing features. They do share their long-term thinking but sometimes it would be great to know when those new features are coming so our team can better plan for them or consider them as part of future A/B testing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Algolia has allowed us to scale our search index system as our Marketplace grows. In addition, it enables us to understand and iterate on user trends to enhance our search experience for users. When we finished rolling it out, we saw an increase in GMV using Algolia compared to our prior search system.
Nowadays, we use Algolia to visualize and note trends in user searches where they're converting at lower rates, identify future opportunities for the business based on their Analytics toolings, and integrate it with other search and discovery services we're using.

Fast and easy to adopt
What do you like best about the product?
The speed of algolia is fantastic, we send data and it syncs quickly. Responses are in milliseconds.
What do you dislike about the product?
Figuring out how to do database syncing is tricky. We have somewhat realtime information we need to send and sometimes indexing speeds are >10 seconds which is a bummer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ultimately we are using algolia for global search. We're also using it for a few landing pages for users to browse their items.
Very fast and powerful search with integrated enhancement tools and client side examples
What do you like best about the product?
So far is the speed and exposed API to update the indexes and settings. It's search on steroids and a very powerful tool to add to your website or admin backend
What do you dislike about the product?
So far nothing that I could point out with a dislike tone. In further reviews, the dashboard could be improved to be more user-friendly for newcomers. But as it works perfectly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Is resolving autosuggest smart search fields and adding speed independently of the server load. Even if it would be implemented on our side would be hard to reach that response speed.
