A very good search tool.
What do you like best about the product?
With Algolia we can highlight in this regard that very little infrastructure is needed to exercise the software in its most splendid totality, which is useful from smaller companies to those with greater economic development, as well as in productivity, which are the Larger, this software can be used directly from the client or from different services, in other outstanding aspects, it should be noted that it is very reliable, since it takes very little time for inactivity, including that the responses are totally fast and good.
What do you dislike about the product?
The api that contains this design, based on searches, is somewhat confusing, in some aspects that are relevant to the software, mentioning that the user interface does not do a good job according to, to help you define your most prevalent queries to the system, which is not an effective tool to resolve doubts, this is when we go to the support that Algolia contains on its main page, previously highlighting that the system is expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Algolia is a very important resource for us, for which we use it in the vast majority of the entire organization, more than all in the departments that are based on development, they use it as an API to search for different entities of some system in particular, including that we also use it to promote the search of all our users, in the fundamental platform that we have at our disposal, taking advantage of the speed and efficiency that this system offers, highlighting that it greatly improves the experience of the operators of our website.

If you have in some of your departments a dedicated developer, who has the technical knowledge, to deepen the Algolia documentation to discover what makes it work, this is the product without any doubt for you, the search framework of this software It is totally powerful, in every aspect that it chooses in its programming, because it makes investigations instantaneous and gives the users of your website results at breakneck speeds.

I like this extremely fast tool as it can manage styles quite well, it has great search speed, and ease of integration and support. It provides some pretty good search experience terms that aim to provide one of the best, Algolia is one of the best search experience providers and its functionality and potential is so great that you won't regret employing it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really cannot say that there is a disadvantage, it provides practically everything we need, it may happen that there is a need for a greater degree of customization, also it lacks instructional videos, which is necessary and a bit complicated. Can be very expensive, especially if you need to search all environments.

My experience has been very positive and productive, creating real-time search interfaces is incredible. It is the great tool that can help improve your website's search capabilities as well as save a lot of time by not having to manage anything related to search. It is one of the best search providers I have used, it is very well documented and easy to use, the docs are a great way to explore some features, it is an extremely fast tool, the platform is very intuitive, and searches are very fast. , it also has optimal use of digital resources, the speed of reindexing is also very good, you can also configure the site according to the behavior of your customers, flexible customization functions allow advanced search solutions, it is also very easy to navigate your website.

It is a great tool that can help improve the search capabilities of your website, Algolia's interface is easy to use and the documentation is clear, it has been a great alternative to creating our own search solution, help me to have a better search system, the platform is very intuitive and searches are very fast, it has worked perfectly for us for a long time.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy integration with existing Firebase app. The documentation was very easy to read and fortunately, there were good stack overflow answers that helped with fine details integrating the app with our backend . The docs are a great way to explore some features of Algolia search. Of course, the app's speed was far superior to the search feature in Firebase.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the API is difficult to use with Java applications. It's easier to use the project if you use Node or Javascript. I would prefer having more documentation and user support/examples for Java programs. Also, it was difficult to tell whether the app's speed was only because of the relatively small datasets we used for our app's prototypes. If there was an easier way to measure the metric and intelligently improve our overall speed, that would help as we scale up our user-base.

Making our app's search functionality faster. We were able to add a fine grained search capability to the app easily with Algolia. We had to use more Node to implement full integration with our app and this ended up making our development easier.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the speed of search, especially the ability to run performant queries on each keystroke. This is the type of feature you expect when you use a search service like Google, so delivering a similar, intuitive experience to users is a major boost to a website's User Experience.
I first discovered Algolia via the GatsbyJS ecosystem and React documentation websites, so I was pleased to discover that there are well documented / widely adopted plugins available for easy integration with my existing projects.
It's also extremely easy to create a search index both at build time in the project's code or through the Algolia dashboard. I used to struggle with this process when I tried other local search solutions. Algolia is every developer's dream for interactive site search.

I found the documentation for React in particular to be very challenging. I think the team at Algolia could do a better job explaining each component and showing relevant examples. It took me much longer than it should have to troubleshoot basic API challenges.
I have also experienced problems with the API querying more times than my search component renders. It would be great if Algolia offered more insight on optimizing usage to prevent behavior like this.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Algolia to index a medium sized content website so users can pinpoint the exact page or content they are looking for. I have found that performant, easy-to-use search really changes the way users approach an application. I currently run it on a website that will soon become 22 additional websites.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend that users try to roll out Algolia search for a trial period to determine how much search volume they receive. This would help users project their budgets.

Algolia was easy to integrate, and their platform makes it easy to customize the search experience based on our product and customer needs. We had originally built our own search experience but found that transitioning over to Algolia gave us the ability to constantly be delivering an excellent experience to users without needing to maintain the search technology on our own.

As a business owner, I haven't run into any downsides yet but admittedly the engineers on my team would be more prepared to comment on any details of the integration or maintenance process.

We are allowing media buyers to discover and browse their purchase options much faster.
As a frontend dev, Algolia is an absolute delight to work with.
What do you like best about the product?
Having a predefined library of frontend components was key to choosing Algolia for our main search functionality. Having example components to work from or extend for my use was incredibly helpful for building a search interface fast. We managed to build a series of pages without Algolia... and the day before launch we decided to add instant search. We were able to integrate + launch it within a day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Keeping real time data in sync is quite difficult/expensive with Algolia as a solution. Where we have a large list of items in our Algolia, they also have data points that update in near real time. The combination of needing to update data in algolia, and constantly refresh the algolia cache in browser results in either high costs, or out of sync data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Algolia has been fantastic for using real time fuzzy search across a broad spectrum of data. Combinging 3-4 data sets that we display as separate pages into one search result is a breeze.
Being able to take the same complex data set, and provide predefined sorting options has added a lot of functionality to our product rapidly. Without the need for backend to create custom endpoints for us.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Algolia is incredible for creating real time search interfaces, but difficult to work with real time data updates. If you're sending updates in mass, it will be difficult to keep users already browsing the site in sync.
We opted to delay some of our updates to algolia, and use web sockets to update users browsing the site just in case to combat this.
