Seamless integration, with a lot of flexibility.
What do you like best about the product?
Algolia is the most seamless integration with its multiple SDKs. It is also easy to keep indexes synchronised. Algolia has a unique way of searching through attributes, also adaptable and able to provide you with business intelligence from your data such as if an item on your website is on offer. This will give you a competitive edge in the market by providing users with excellent experience, that's exactly what Algolia has helped us achieve. I'd recommend Algolia if you want to hit the ground running.
What do you dislike about the product?
Algolia is a slightly expensive tool but provides better services than its competitors. Also doesn't seem to work well with unstructured data, also when your systems are on-premise you would leverage Algolia features, unfortunately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am building a job placement technology, search is critical here to find the right person for the job. Keywords are so important during recruitment for both the job seeker and the recruiter that's why we use Algolia's fast blazing APIs to deliver excellent experiences.

If you want to build a reliable, fast search for your application, choose Algolia. You can integrate with all platforms and deliver the best service to your users.
Very good experience with customisability overall, but slightly lacking on integrations
What do you like best about the product?
I like how customisable and well-documented the algorithm is - I like being able to rearrange the steps, as well as the automagical adaptation to new data types. I can add a completely new key to my object, and Algolia automatically updates to handle it.
Also, I am very happy about the ease of creating new collections/workspaces, and configuring them through the easy guided tutorial.
I would have also said that my favourite feature, by far, was Algolia places :(. The fact that it was available for free/a very low cost was amazing.
The React toolkit is also incredibly helpful - I can set up a UI with searching, filtering, and sorting very quickly.

What do you dislike about the product?
I am, of course, sad about the demise of Places. It really was the only tool available for searching this kind of data for free, and I've used it in a lot of sights where it was really a no-brainer to implement and there weren't really any viable alternatives.
Also, I would appreciate more integrations with rapid development tools - it has occurred many times that when developing a super-quick MVP, Algolia was the longest to set up. For instance, automatic Firebase/Firestore sync would be greatly appreciated, since right now, I need to use Firebase Functions in order to manually sync the two. Not only does this slow down development time, it also makes the sync execute slower, since Firebase Functions need to boot up first.
Also, I have experiences slight issues when it comes to implementing the manual React UI - although I said that it's quite easy to use, this isn't the case when attempting to customise it. It can get quite complicated and hacky to use, particularly with Typescript (as TS definitions are dodgy/incomplete in cases).

On our website CodeDragon, we use Algolia to search users and projects - it has been incredibly helpful in allowing us to broaden our search feature from just usernames and project titles to user bios and descriptions and content. It has allowed us to convey more info to the user quickly, and the InstantSearch feature means that we don't need to manually make requests.
We've also used Algolia Places in a lot of situations to allow address search, in order to simplify (as well as validate) addresses in circumstances where this was necessary to be correct.

One of the qualities that stands out the most about the functionalities of this software is its extensive search speeds, which are extremely fast, which allows better management when conducting these investigations, in order to guarantee productivity, when we go to time that we use to determine a factor found through this very innovative and efficient system, without excluding that it maintains an incredible technical support team, so that all users can solve their problems or doubts presented in this server, in a fast way, with quality and very surprising, in its response time.

We can consider that it is very difficult to scale the product in a straight line, for a simpler and more direct knowledge, when we are going to use this software, since its functionalities are somewhat steep and difficult to understand, because its complex determinations are they are extensive and require a prudent and advanced understanding to start operating this system in its entirety, without excluding that it is divided into different functional packages, and most of them are very expensive.

We use Algolia throughout our organization, for a fundamental objective, which is to promote the searches that all our registered users to the platforms we have, in other words, it should be noted that we take advantage of the speed and efficiency that this software offers to improve in large quantities the experience of each of the operators who navigate through the instances that we maintain at our own disposal, mainly when it comes to searching for different types of records.

What do you like best about the product?
The best available solution to configure the search. Algolia presents visual search results that are attractive as well as being very fast in terms of displaying search results. The dashboard is very modern, like the brand, and offers a fairly comprehensive analysis. It is very easy to configure.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations on the size of the record and the size of the facet. It also doesn't allow you to test based on the hypothetical user's geographic location, the price can go up very quickly if the outbound subscription is exceeded, it doesn't support too many advanced skills either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits are a great user experience in terms of performance and prioritization of results. It has great customization features and that greatly helps board advisers to manage accounts. With Algolia we solve the problem of returning the appropriate combination in minutes, it has allowed us to index their respective data for each user so that they can obtain fast results.

I would definitely recommend using this to manage your jobs and process large amounts of data quickly, we have been able to quickly execute several developer efficiency efforts.

What do you like best about the product?
Facet filter feature is the best that Algolia provides out of the box.
Searches are very swift and I like the feature a lot.

What do you dislike about the product?
Algolia matches sub-string by default,
if there was an option to match query with a full word or a sub-string that would be great,
this would give developers the power to flip the option on or off depending on a condition programatically.
I would like to see this feature in near future, and can't wait to implement it.

Higher Pricing: Recently there is a change in the pricing model which I think might not be liked by many small business owners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compare to the default search / other search engines, the experience of integrating Algolia was smooth. It is also very fast in terms of showing search results. The indexes are really powerful and get updated really quickly. No matter, how many numbers of products your store having, Algolia's performance does not get down. We have implemented it in different size projects from low traffic to heavy traffic and the results are amazing. The good thing here is that if you have storefronts like Magento or Shopify, or many big names, algolia provides easy plugins which can help to integrate your store faster.

We face some minor difficulties in Indices creations, in addition more advanced reports can be exported from Algolia dashboard.

Many problems can be solved with Algolia specially when you have a huge number of products (millions). and you need to choose the elite products for communication.

Good search engine, integrates nicely with react. Awesome dashboard.

Algolia logo on free version. Limits are exchausted pretty quickly.

I use it for my personal blog, benefits - I see what users are looking for, also search is pretty good compared to lunr search.

Algolia is what I was looking for, it provides some pretty good search experience terms. I like that it is very easy to use and add information, the interface is easy to use, and the documentation is clear. It represents a major advance over the original search tool, it is hosted, flexible, and scales very well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Few details present, it is a good tool. The cost is a bit high, plus there are customization issues without development help. Size limitations are a big problem and splitting larger objects into a single entity seems like something that should be managed.

This great tool that helps to improve the search capabilities of your website. Easy to use, easy to customize and with excellent support, the advantage of using algolia is that my website users can enjoy a quick search, we use search as the main navigation on our agency's landing page.
