Review of Cvent Attendee Hub
What do you like best about the product?
We heavily utilized the functionality of the app. We found the push notifications very helpful to keep attendees updated during our weekend event. We also found that attendees enjoyed seeing pictures of fellow attendees and were able to see their schedule and were able to add or remove some events within the app.
It was also very easy to learn and use.

What do you dislike about the product?
If there is a fee associated with a session, attendees are not able to register and pay for the event within the app.
I did not like that pricing was connected to every registrant rather than considering registration types. We have many very young registrants who would not use the app, but we still had to pay for them.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We didn't necessarily have a problem however, the push notification capability of the app allowed us to keep attendees informed throughout our weekend event.

Simple & Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
You can configure the attendee website, manage the attendee specific contents, customize the overall branding/theme, interect with the attendee, using engagment stuffs like gamifications with points/scores and make the website live in less than 60 mins!
What do you dislike about the product?
Site designer has been improved compared to earlier and the verification code for login is sent instantly., the code is valid for 24 hrs to reuse. Post 24 hrs it has be to be re-generated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More engagement within attendees in the meetings, live polls, live Q&A and attendees can build their network, connect in private chat
Great for mid- to larger scale events

New functionality allows us to automate and digitize more of our event than before, making it easier to manage and report on each year
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost is a big factor for us. There are quite a few ad-hoc items that the website makes it seems are included with the app.

Creating a better digital experience for our attendees and connecting systems that previously were different software.

What do you like best about the product?
The Attendee Hub is great for keeping attendees engaged and up to date on information. They provide a platform to create both a website and app, so there are multiple ways to reach attendees. Everything can be created from scratch and totally customized to fit your event style and needs. It's also nice to be able to push agenda updates or last-minute changes to any event information via the Attendee Hub.
What do you dislike about the product?
The site designer within the attendee hub is a bit limited, and their app structure (having to provide a code within the Cvent app to reach your event) can be a bit confusing for some attendees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The events my company currently puts on have grown exponentially in the last few years. Cvent's Attendee Hub allows our event management team to connect with attendees despite our numbers being much larger than what they've been in the past. It also allows our attendees to access information more easily and network with vendors and each other through the app. The addition of an attendee website/app to our events also cuts down on our previous cost for print materials since we can put our event agendas, ads, and updates online now.

Many of our attendees utilize work phones and they cannot download the event app

It is helping us by giving us a place to host our on-demand content after the conference ends
One Stop Shop
What do you like best about the product?
It is wonderful that all your information talks to each other. You do not have to keep different spreadsheets for schedules, speakers, and sessions. The Cvent team has worked hard on accessibility too.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is an expensive choice. It can also be difficult to learn.

All the data is in one place.

I loved that you could interact in the moment with the speakers and event facilitators.

It did log me out every time I minimized the app, requiring me to full login and it did not remember my credentials.

The ability to track and gauge engagement during the presentations.
Great simple to customise virtual event platform
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can customise the platform myself so that it reflects our brand, whether its the imagery and colours right through to the actual wording and language used so you can really personalise the digital experience for the event attendees.
What do you dislike about the product?
The verification codes required for attendees to login, these are mandatory and you can't turn them off and have had a few issues of them going to junk mail previously - although believe there is a new feature where a link can help bypass this process. It's just something to be aware of to make sure you have people available to provide these codes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We originally purchashed Attendee Hub during Covid to deliver our customer conference and since then the platform has really grown so we can deliver not only large scale virtual events, but also smaller invite-only virtual roundtables.
We have also used the platform to deliver our virtual events both internally and externally for customers and prospects.
It's a platform that can deliver any of our event needs and is simple to use and setup.

Straightforward App Management that Needs a Few Bug Fixes
What do you like best about the product?
I love that we can provide our attendees with a digital program book, floor plan, and so much more. This allows us to be eco-friendly and eliminates the need for purchasing paper supplies.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one aspect of Cvent Attendee Hub that I dislike is that SSO has to be disabled for attendees to add sessions to their personal agendas. This is an issue we experienced in 2021 with Attendee Hub, and in 2022 we decided to use CrowdCompass as it worked well with SSO.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cvent Attendee Hub is eliminating the need for physical program books. As planners know well, there are many last-minute changes that occur leading up to the event, and updating the program materials may not be possible if it's already been produced/shipped. Using Attendee Hub allows my team to edit content in real time and without having to jump through hoops or go through vendors.
