Awsome tool
What do you like best about the product?
Just pure good! Works always, never a hickup. The best thing, is that you can ACK events directly from the app!
What do you dislike about the product?
Missing one option.. The option to add overrides schedules via app (Or might not have found it...)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backwatch :-) never had a simpler way of keeping track

Rules UI can be more simple to use + add more features to rules.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sending alerts from our main monitoring system to the on-call individual.

What do you like best about the product?
Getting information frim systems to the alerting service couldn’t be simpler yet you still have a powerful logic available that can match any need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only gap for us is that it’s US centric running on AWS in that region. It’s hardly blocking but if the option to move to the EU would ever become available we’d be keen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alerting On Call teams can be a complex affair especially when dealing with multiple teams. Being able to handle this complexity and no longer requiring a human operator team or service 24/7 where the usefulness is only when an incident occurs, is tremendously cost efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don’t hesitate to contact their support for any questions you have. I’ve found them responsive and willing to think outside the normal product scope to meet a custom need.

They are a big part of our company great customer service and they have and awesome attitude. With ops genie we are a better company in all aspects.

Nothing. Everything is great for us. Im the owner of www.techmexico.com.mx we are starting the business and with ops genie with us we feel that we can provide a profesional service to our customers.

Im starting the company but as soon as we get the clients I know the service will be the best ! The testing is great.

Some features like turning of certain parts of schedules can only be done with admin rights. It would be nice if permissions could be set instead of just role selecting

Alerting when certain systems are down. We need 24/7 uptime

OpsGenie serves as a critical tool vastly improve escalation management increasing system stability
What do you like best about the product?
I like that OpsGenie has a wide array of 3rd party integrations including Slack. The Slack integration has vastly improved awareness outside of the Engineering organization to critical issues by feeding the issues into a channel that key stakeholders can be a member of. Being able to tailor different escalations for different channels means that we can reduce "spam" messages and drive critical information to intended audience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that the rotation and configuration UI is a bit clunky. I find myself jumping back and forth multiple times to find where I can set members of a team versus setting the escalation policy. The overall flow just doesn't seem intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving critical issue escalation to the key stakeholders via on-call rotations as well as conveying the alerts in Slack so that the organization is aware of key problems. This has helped Customer Support and other teams gain visibility of an issue occurring potentially before a client may even notice so that they can be proactive in assuring clients that we are on top of the product stability and reliability.
Opsgenie is a better application for checking the ON call rotation policy
What do you like best about the product?
We can swap our On call with our peers in a team. We can check the issue very easily whoever is in ON call.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything looks fine,but there should be a swapping option which is used to swap ON call with other members in a team
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every ongoing issue which is coming i outlook is seen in Opsgenie which is very helpful. We can install the app in our handset and get the alert any where at anytime with its notification.
We use this tool for alerting mechanism and its very useful, informative, quick and awesome

can implement alerts functionality bit better apart from this I didn't face any issues till now

Single source of truth for team all call resource. Alerting the right team based on layout of monitoring. tracking response time.
