Exciting opportunities
What do you like best about the product?
Dashboards give a quick view into how our teams and individuals are performing. It also provides insight into where we can and need to make improvements. We've started using individualized data in 1-1s and performance reviews, we've begun using it in sprint retros and we've begun using it at the organizational level to help with capacity planning and project prioritization. The potential is phenomenal. Figuring out where to start using it is the biggest challenge :)
What do you dislike about the product?
We really need to do a better job of standardizing how we are using JIRA and GIT. It would be great if there were some best practices and playbooks on the first/prioritized steps to take to transform a heavily confederated operation with disparate, team-level practices into a federated operation, with common standards for JIRA and GIT usage. Not sure this is a problem to be laid at the feet of Jellyfish, but it would be useful to us as a customer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
measuring progress and efficiency in a tech org is difficult. JF is giving us a clean look at data across all teams, which allows us to use it in evaluation, analysis and improvement measurement
A great tool for visualizing teams' work and getting insights
What do you like best about the product?
It's a tool that can start showing helpful information with the minimal configuration; We didn't have to change our process but only adopted some general conventions among the teams. Now we are saving time wasted on manual work and have insights about the company in standardized metrics dashboards for all the teams. Another helpful feature is that you can drill down on almost any chart to understand any particularity in your data better.
Additionally, their support team is always willing to help, providing you with alternatives for any need.

What do you dislike about the product?
The data you see has an offset of 1 day, and most people don't realize that. That caused friction during the adoption, and still, people have to wait until the next data refresh to see their changes done in Jira and JF. Not so helpful when you want to see your team's metrics right after you close your sprint.
You can customize the tool to company settings but cannot set team/user-level settings.
The integration with okta needs more improvements:
- Complicated and unintuitive experience for logging in/out
- You cannot set permissions in okta; it's just for handling authentication.
- You cannot manage tracking accounts with OKTA; you must do it manually or throughout the roster.
You cannot use Sprints as a time dimension, so you need to use weeks, months, and quarters instead.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish allows teams to focus more on things to improve the way they work and less on how to gather metrics (because that's already solved). Also, it's used as a communication tool for the company because it allows transparency to all stakeholders in an understandable and standard way.
Engineering Metrics in steroids
What do you like best about the product?
My team has used this tool for a good part of a year; it has been very helpful in providing very important metrics and helping us do better AOP planning. I have not seen a similar tool so far.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to see more customization for users. For now, it is an almost out-of-box solution; more minor requests are through support desk requests. Not to say, the box solution does not work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JF and the support team have been very helpful in resolving and taking on all support requests. I think the tool is very flexible and ideal for medium to large enterprises.
Great Tool for Jira Metrics for my teams
What do you like best about the product?
Great Tool for Jira Metrics for my teams
What do you dislike about the product?
new feature requests and getting them implemented takes longer at time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team metrics, capacity and allocation and cycle time
Powerful data graphics for Jira.
What do you like best about the product?
Graphic display of data is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't see the underlying data set used or the filter criteria along with the data graphics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The activity of work on our priorities.
UI I love
What do you like best about the product?
It seamlessly syncs with Jira and helps to get deeper insights on sprint progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like everything about jellyfish, it is best tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping to get the most output from our engineering team
Lightweight but has everything to show where and how your spend your time and budget on R&D!
What do you like best about the product?
Lightweight, very easy to configure, and start to see the data and all the metrics. Excellent communication from the very first day and so on! Documentation is good enough.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no "out-of-the-box" ability to see metrics based on the Sprint cadence instead of month and quarters
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish shows the actual data in real-time on the top level and allow us to dig deeper, with one dashboard instead a lot of reports. Great that JellyFish has the ability to get data from different sources and combine it in a perfect way. It has a lot of useful metrics that allow management to set goals across org and for specific teams and it's easy to track the progress!
JellyFish Metrics
What do you like best about the product?
JellyFish provides detailed and actionable insights. The JellyFish metrics are at both detailed and summary levels which is great for a variety of stakeholders. The JellyFish staff are friendly, helpful and always quick to respond to questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to add more customized views and filters on some insights would make it easier from a user perspective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The key value areas that JellyFish provides are a clear understanding of where engineering effort is being spent and how this aligns with our targets or goals.
Very useful for tracking and communicating engineering metrics at all levels
What do you like best about the product?
Many things:
- The ability to communicate investment metrics to csuite
- The ability to track effort across objectives
- The ability to review team metrics and spot trends over time (good or bad)
- The ability to flag contributor outliers and generate useful conversations on collaboration
- The out-of-the-box "accelerate" metrics
- The customer success team is outstanding (helpful and super responsive)

What do you dislike about the product?
Switching from OKR to EOS was more difficult than I thought it would be. Jellyfish has been great about supporting the transition, but it's still not a straightforward process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All the things I mentioned in "what do you like best".
Great tool to align engineering operations with strategic business strategy
What do you like best about the product?
The platform provides visibility and measures of business alignment, engineering execution, and performance management, with insights from multiple perspectives. Jellyfish integration with Jira, Github, Gitlab, and other utilities allows us to gather operational data and expose it in a meaningful way at a level above Jira. Thus, drilling-down capabilities via a number of dimensions to expose granular detail.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is little I dislike about JellyFish; however, a lot of the rules have to be done by JellyFish. In other words, there is little self-service in terms of configuration
