Great for Team Allocation, Dashboards Can be an Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The information about where the teams are allocated at is really easy to consume.
What do you dislike about the product?
Metrics and dashboards could be improved by allowing a more flexible dashboard implementation (more like a "control panel" approach).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seeing where my team's time & effort is being allocated help me better understand whether we are focusing on the right priorities or not.

Excellent Transparency, But More Management-Focused and UI Can Be Clunky
What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish gives great transparency into engineering work and helps align development efforts with business priorities.
What do you dislike about the product?
From a developer’s point of view, it sometimes feels more management-focused than developer-friendly. The data sync and setup can be slow, and some metrics don’t fully reflect the technical complexity of the work. The UI can also feel a bit heavy when navigating larger projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish helps connect our development work with business goals. It gives clear visibility into how time is spent, helps spot bottlenecks, and makes planning and prioritization easier.

Our IT organization uses Jellyfish to monitor and evaluate work progress.
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Jellyfish provides a comprehensive overview of the company’s work, organized by epics, work items, and team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be beneficial if Jellyfish could incorporate Jira’s time reporting and estimation fields to enable better tracking of work item progress.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish enables us to access analytics on our work processes and work item progress without the need to develop a custom solution using scripts or API integrations.

Insightful Team Analytics, Minor Navigation Frustrations
What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish allows me to look at the work that my team is doing and identify opportunities for improvement, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies. I use Jellyfish daily, it's part of my morning routine. I also use it during sprint retros to show the team how they're doing on their sprint commitments, etc. At first it was a little daunting to use, but the Jellyfish Academy really helped and now it's become a lot easier to use.
We have a slack channel set up with Jellyfish support and we have questions answered very quickly when they arise. It's been a really good experience.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like is the additional clicks it takes to open things from Jellyfish into Jira. I wish I didn't have to open an additional screen in order to see the "open in jira" button.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish helps me identify how the team is being efficient, and where they're not being efficient. I can also use it to look at my individual contributor's progress and where they might be struggling. I love the ability to check out my team's collaboration with each other.

Great Metrics Overview, But Incentivizes Unproductive Behaviors
What do you like best about the product?
It provides aggregated views of various metrics, such as productivity, speed, etc., which are helpful to objectively see the ongoing progress/improvements.
What do you dislike about the product?
It incentivizes commits and comments on PRs, knowing which, developers can leave very basic review comments (nitpicks) and their metrics would boost. Also, knowing that Jellyfish tracks commits per day as a metric, it can lead to developers making a habit of committing after every small code change, potentially after every line change.
Jellyfish needs to be smart to identify these and discard (or not incentivize) such patterns.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides objective view of various metrics around developers, which can assist in viewing their performance through same lens.

Intuitive UI and Great Graphs, but Limited Metric Flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is clean and intuitive, making it very user-friendly. I appreciate the clear and attractive graphs. The development team releases new features at a fast pace, and it's easy to connect with them and explain our use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of flexibility on the metrics, what you see is what there is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allocation metrics, to understand where our money is going to.
Good practices of engineering teams.

As my team's AI evangelist, it helps me to keep track and compare tool adoption among colleagues and company wide.

Great Developer Insights, but Data Updates Are Slow
What do you like best about the product?
Insights about developer activities integrated with JIRA and GIT
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes time to reflect data when some updates are done in GIT or JIRA
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Exposing insights about developers day to day activites
