Lifesaver
What do you like best about the product?
Working completely virtually, this has streamlined communication and file sharing with my team. It has saved hours upon hours of time, energy, and headaches!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I knew how to connect directly with Outlook. I am sure this is possible, but I wish it was easier!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This saves time and energy and streamlines communication. It also successfully saves versions to help with editing across teams. I have never had an issue with the software or saving documents. I can always rely on this program!
Strong file sharing product
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to sync local files and shared network files, which removes our need for an in-house file server and additional backup software, saving money.
What do you dislike about the product?
Web interface can be slow to load at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're a small/medium size business with 35 full-time employees spread across 14 locations. Egnyte allows us to easily collaborate and share files, without the need for additional hardware or a managed network. We looked at other platforms, including Google Drive (we are Google apps users) but we needed a more robust system, which Egnyte provides.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A strong product that is easy to set up and use. It makes file sharing internal and external to our organization easy to use and secure. There are strong integrations with other products, which create even more efficiencies.

Most flexible business system for hosting files
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the customizable setup that Egnyte allows. I can structure folders in a way that make sense for me and my team, giving permissions and sharing to members in a way that makes sense for each person. It's not a one-size-fits-all approach, and that's exactly the way it should be! I've also really come to appreciate how well the mobile app works. When I have a file uploaded by a partner at 10pm (happens a lot!), it's a lot easier to open the app, verify it, and quickly move it along down the pipeline by sharing with the next partner, rather than getting access to the PC for a quick task.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an administrator, I wish there were more reports designed to help me clean up older areas of Egnyte. For example, we have shifted the structure of our folders around twice in the last three years and there are a lot of duplicate folders floating around. I'd love to see a report indicating folders that hadn't been used in X months or years, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work with a multitude of freelancers and business partners and need to pass files securely back and forth to them several times during a project. Egnyte lets us do that in a way that makes sense for them and saves time. In addition, the recent implementation of Office Online has been huge for our internal teamwork, allowing us to collaborate real-time on writing projects and production spreadsheets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you can get your team on board, it's a great product that can provide solutions in areas that you didn't even realize were lacking!
A new way of share content management working since we discovered egnyte!
What do you like best about the product?
The usability and friendly interface. The full customization of the accesses, and the multiple sharing options. The streaming view of the file is also a very powerful feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Basically nothing. I just would add a couple of missing features

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The full and easy content provider, and the smooth sharing working flow in our company. And a high reduced cost in comparing an internal server solution, on top to be much more secure and accessible from all over the world. Our team is from USA to Malaysia.

Great price point, very straight forward user interface with easy navigation within the system makes it a great application to manage and share documentation

More detailed filters for the search bar functionality

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to upload/download/share/view our company’s project information from wherever I am.
What do you dislike about the product?
Plans only come in batches of five users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a decentralized file management solution that worked for office and site staff. With Egnyte we were able to deploy the solution with minimal disruption to activities. The system is now operating with great efficiency and is by in large self sustaining.

What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is one of the few companies out there with an easy to use file system. Setting permissions on a per-user basis is very easy. It is great that we can set up groups then add user to the group. It's quick and easy to set up users. Also very easy to share files with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if the admin/I.T. Person could Log in as a specific user. Sometimes I would like to know exactly what one user sees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to give access to users that are out in the field easy access to all the files. No more VPNs!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great file server and easy to use.
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is easy to understand - more so than that of Onedrive or Google Drive. Its setup as private vs shared is easy to explain to the end users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Desktop sync requires the local user to be an administrator.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud backup but the speed of local access.
