Great security, basic elsewhere
What do you like best about the product?
The security features of the software are fantastic. You are able to provide links with passwords, have the links expire and keep separate areas of the cloud for different members.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do however dislike that I can't easily create folders within the same folders for separate people who aren't members. You have to create a user and this creates more tedious issues.
Plus, it doesn't have much sophistication in terms of collaborated features (like multiple users editing the same document, it just locks it for one user) and it's interface.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was much smoother than using Dropbox. Less issues of overwriting other people's work, much easier to share documents and much more secure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If security is your primary focus point, Egnyte is hard to beat. With the ability to send files with passwords via a link and expire them by clicks or by time. But it isn't as modern as similar software, and its features are quite basic and are all revolving around security.
Egnyte is a good choice.
What do you like best about the product?
One quality of Egnyte that deserves prominence is security, when hosting and sharing files online there is always a fear of leaking some important confidential file or things like that and Egnyte is very good at giving you the attention it really deserves. realize on the platform that there are several file security features like password protected file sharing where you can put your files for sharing behind a password protected link for viewing and downloading, anyone without the correct password will have no access to what is being shared on that link.
What do you dislike about the product?
Egnyte's web editing functionality is a little to be desired especially compared to its much more intuitive and easy-to-operate local version, it would be interesting if the Egnyte team tried to approximate quality and feature richness from the web version to the local version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte arrived at our company to be our online storage and file sharing system. We had as our main goal to eliminate the costs of a local server and also reduce the amount of paper accumulated and we achieved this thanks to Egnyte. It was also thanks to him that We now had the convenience of accessing our files from wherever we were since the files were now hosted in the cloud and no longer on a local server or folder.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Egnyte is highly recommended for any company that seeks to share and host files online, it is a tool with interesting features, a fair price and great attention to file security, if this is what you are looking for Egnyte is certainly a option you should consider.
Good fit for our small business storage needs
What do you like best about the product?
We deployed Egnyte to replace an aging NAS device and allow access to files when not in the office. Its worked well for us and was easy to implement. Reasonably priced.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support has been OK, little difficult to communicate with some of the techs, but worked thru it, they do respond quickly. Also strangely enough a little difficult to get in touch with sales to add additional licenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes it easy for employees to retrieve files when not in the office and good version control.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider the Storge Sync for on site backup in case of Internet connectivity loss.

Egnyte is easy to use, is a highly professional platform. Centralizes the storage of our files with the guarantee that they are protected in the cloud with high security protocols.
It's great to expedite the work from which allows us to enter the platform from any device. It is an innovative and easy-to-learn and use.

I have no complaints about how Egnyte works. However, I consider it an expensive solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte provides fluidity to our transactions. The intuitive and organized structure provided by Egnyte helps us to efficiently manage our files.

If you need secure storage of your files I recommend Egnyte.
Keeping it Simple & thoughtful
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is the UI of the applications, it has zero learning curve, my team started using it from day one. Clutter-free / no-nonsense features at the right screen are bringing in a lot of fluidness.
Another best feature is availability; we have not yet encountered an event where this site is not working or slow. This helps us rely on this service a lot I am moving here from Dropbox, so it takes a lot of effort to discard something at that stage.
Auto delete of files, I love this feature, as it helps us best optimize our utilization of the service and not get worried about it getting exhausted every time. this is a smart feature.

It doesn't have a feature to use it as a temporary hosting server, where we can quickly upload a project and share the index file link to our clients, so that they can see the project running online, instead of to making them download the package and then run it locally. I would love it if it can be done.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem solver thing is that it is not blocked by the internal servers of clients.
They are able to access the links and download the package pretty seamlessly. the solutions we used in the past, had these access related issues.
The collaborations aspect has made us move from GDrive to Egnyte; as we can now have one version of truth.

I would surely suggest that it is matter of giving it a try, most probably you will like it. even if you don't find it a fit for your current requirement for any reason, I am sure you will use in the near future.

Mobile App for content, improved speed when off site, file revisions and off-site content.
Very Easy for File Transferring
What do you like best about the product?
We use Egnyte to transfer files securely from our company to an HR vendor. We love how easy it is to upload files to share, see historic files, and view changes to the documents in real time. It's very nice knowing you can get notified of a new document and know that the documents shared in the folders will be visible to all parties right away. Also, we work with many projects with this vendor so we love being able to use one login for both. If you have a system with a great full-trail audit in them it's even better, so we love it.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I was first getting started with the system, the invite to join went to my spam folder. But that's really it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have to transfer files with sensitive information in them, so it's great to be able to upload to the platform vs having to email them. I like being able to see the changes in real-time when someone adds content to the platform and having sub-folders with different permissions available.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Egynte is very easy to use and the learning curve for getting people up to speed is very simple. I enjoy being able to use the website for collaboration with vendors but I imagine companies could easily use this internally for file transfer, too.

i primarily used the platform to store and share file folders. it was good for my purpose. seemed like a pretty basic platform that was easy to use.

Public Defenders are using it as a file dump. It's easy in the sense it goes relatively quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is a great place for our company to store all important files. We use it daily across our entire company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Egnyte sends a ton of notifications. I thought I had them turned off, but they just keep landing in my inbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have various employees in different locations. This is a great way for us to tie everyone together in one spot.
