What do you like best about the product?
One of Egnyte greatest features that excites me a lot is that it has a great version system. The tool automatically synchronizes making sure that we are always up to date with the latest version of every document.
It is a secure product. We are a management consulting firm the let thing that we always prioritize is security . With this tool, we are able to have our files protected through file password protection.
It is a tool that is great at sharing. Egnyte allows for realtime sharing of files both within and outside the organization.

The browser based Egnyte is not user-friendly. It is sluggish.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte has helped us mainly in protecting our files in file sharing It has also provided us with a cloud storage platform .To add on that it also has allowed us collaborate in content creation.

Egnyte is excellent in every aspect. It secure, scalable and reliable.

What do you like best about the product?
Egnyteb has a variety of security features that help protect our files. This includes file password protect and sharing files to specific individuals who have the organization email.
Egnyte allows for easy restoration of deleted files. This helps in making sure that no file can go missing.
It is useful in collaboration .It allows for collaboration of users in document formation which only happens on browser mode.

What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that collaboration only happens in browser mode. It would be fantastic if it works also on office application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte has benefited us in various ways.It has allowed for real-time editing of documents, provides protection of file and help in helps in restoring deleted files making sure that no document can ever go missing.

Egnyteis a software that we are utilizing across the organization as one of our document management software.

The editing features of this tool are not as strong as those of competitors in the same line.

What do you like best about the product?
I like best about Engyte is that it allows for companies to share important and pertinent information across all departments on a single platform. It is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything about Egnyte but I will say aesthetically it could use some improvements/upgrade.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems I am solving with Egnyte is that I am able to pull information information (product information, marketing pieces, testing information, etc). in one platform. I don't have to reach out to other departments becasue Engyte provides me with all of the information I need on one platform. Rather that having the information loaded on a drive, I am able to access the information online which is great when traveling or if the system were to crash.
Streamlining Collaborative Work
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy having my Egnyte drive mapped to my desktop. This is especially helpful when working on large scale projects with other companies. Usually, companies save project files on a local server. Having Egnyte allows us to all use the same 'drive' giving us flexibility, and functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the 'WebEdit' portion of the software when used through the Browser. Before having my drive mapped, my daily workflow revolved around trying to use WebEdit functionality. This works sometimes, for some software plugins. I was having good luck with AutoCAD integration, but not for things like InDesign where 'linking' attachments is key to workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved our issues collaborating with other companies on the same project. No longer do we have to use regular Cloud Based services that put a limit on how much you can store, and functionality of using the software. This has allowed us to realize how easy and how much we can share with others, cutting down time of sending lengthy emails, having duplicate documents for our partners and internally.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure to map your drive to your computer, and don't just use the Web Browser to access. Many programs that require File Linking via FilePaths rely on this. Also, if integrating with another company, be sure everyone uses the same Drive Letter.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and we had limited problems with the service. It is perfect for collaborative work. Easy to share within our business which prevents problems with large transfer of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once you open Word files in the app, you don't see any monitored modifications and misunderstandings happen once you edit documents rapidly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte is used throughout the entire company, we use it for all our submissions and seek not to store documents locally. It is used in agencies and divisions at various locations for coordination. We also use file sharing to exchange files / directories internally to customers. Use Egnyte addressed problems in which we used an external hard drive, sometimes faulty or difficult to access, for all of our mutual files.
Secure Environment That is Easy For All Users
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte has allowed me to share secure information on a platform that is easy to use. From assigning new user to uploading information the system is very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Egnyte has several different user levels that you can assign. Sometimes the user level doesn't match the need of the client. I would like to be able to assign specifically what access they should be assigned instead of having to pick between four prescribed levels.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte is my secure information exchange product. Prior to Egnyte I sent and received information through secure email. The problem with secure email is the risk of not labeling it secure or sending it to the wrong party. With Egnyte uploading the information into the folder and knowing that only the assigned individuals have access has eliminated the risk of unsecure emailing. Also having the ability to instantly share multiple documents with multiple individuals.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evaluate your needs before choosing a platform. Be realistic about the volume of documents. The great thing about Egnyte is that you can start small access and then add new users as you go along.
Access to files from comfort of my home
What do you like best about the product?
I was able to log on from my home computer or laptop anywhere and at anytime to access files to do work outside of the office. Total life saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times I was unable to log in with my username and password. I would get an error when I typed my password. Also, when I transferred large files from my work desktop to the Egnyte drive it took forever initially.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accessing files from home without having to step foot into the office.
Egnyte is my company's "Go To" cloud storage option.

Mostly a good experience
What do you like best about the product?
I like the security/ encryption features and also the fact that Egnyte acts as a native drive on my laptop so that I can open a document, edit it, and save it seamlessly. No downloading, editing, uploading.
I also like sharing documents by links; posting comments to colleagues; and sharing links so people can upload documents.

What do you dislike about the product?
Most of the support information is hard to follow for the non-tech savvy. It isn't written in plain English.
I was instructed to update WebEdit recently and I downloaded it and used the installer. It looked like it worked but I got the same command the next day. Not sure what went wrong. I've had this problem several times.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team is able to edit documents without ever having them saved to their hard drives which helps with data security. I like knowing when people have opened a document that I share with them by sharing a link.
