Very useful and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The "link accessed" feature that informs you when link is viewed.
What do you dislike about the product?
That it does not update in real time. Manual add needed for immediate link at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sending documents without direct server links.

Effective Filing System
What do you like best about the product?
It has a simple and easy to use system for filing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have a lot of issues with Webedit, and often there is trouble saving files. Luckily Egnyte has some backup protocols that ensures my files are saved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made our organizations longterm filing possible, so we have records from both online and in hard copy.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use, search, and upload and download. It makes working at home much easier. I like the search feature best. I also like that you can email a link to the file or document as well as the fact that you can limit the folders that some users can access.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind. It is a good product that allows you to share information easily. The look of the product is a little dated and I think it could look a little more modern, but as far as functionality goes, the product works really well and I prefer it to Dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been using egnyte for a while because some of our offices are in different states, but while working at home it has been even more useful.

What do you like best about the product?
Access it from anywhere. Always reliable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be helpful to have someone help onboard. Graphical interface isn't the most exciting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us share files - with our team, with consultants etc. No need to maintain a server in the office.

What do you like best about the product?
That files can be recovered, so when you delete by mistake, IT guys can help you.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes is hard to move between files and the fact that many times I create a link and forget to make them available more than a month. It should be more visible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love that I have my personal folder.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I don't like using the app, because I prefer to have control over what I upload, and many times it's hard to synchronize the computer with Egnyte.
A solid file synchronization alternative
What do you like best about the product?
It's ease of use, ability to connect with SSO platforms and request files externally into a managed environment. We use it across the agency on project specific workflows and it's versioning and history functionality has saved projects thought lost before! Love that it is also able to preview PSD files visually which has saved us lots of time where we would normally be downloading GB's of files just to find that it was the wrong version or file.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of office integration is putting it behind other alternatives. Collaboration tools are fairly clunky compared to other platform alternatives that have been used previously. Would love to see previews of files working further across .indd files and various other adobe platform file formats. It's lack of ability to preview or share basic svg formats in other forms than visually is limited to as we would normally prefer to share SVG formats in a code only view allowing for basic copy and paste rather than to download the file. These and other improvements could be made to save even more time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
File synchronization between both client and agency, project specific work with various clients and included versioning and version control of task specific files. We've realized as an agency we have to remain flexible to various platforms to ensure that we are able to work as a business.

Ensure to make use of SSO platform functions and share setting link defaults

What do you like best about the product?
IT's great to be able work collaboratively with colleagues on projects. We have instant access to the same files. It also makes working in different locations and on different computers viable. i also like that you can go back and look at a deleted file.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times it crashes. and the app waffles between keeping connecting and having to be reconnect or restarting my computer.

Our office is working remotely. Effectively.

THE BEST THING IS THE EASE OF LOGGING INTO THE SERVICE, NO TRIPLE VERIFICATIONS

I have found that ENGYTE is a powerful collaborative tool for a company using large directories.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the comments and version control.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not an easy way to open another tab when you preview a document. It would still be good to have the ability to lock the navigation on the left even while previewing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accountability and security from important documents being deleted but later realizing that it was something needed. We are able to recover files and receive updates on our projects when things are added or modified.

allow the ability to as needed open up another tab in the same directory.
Useful tool, especially in quarantine
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the new feature that Egnyte added recently that lets you show the document title in the URL. It makes it much easier to track down files after a link expires, e.g. search for what someone emailed you a link to in your downloads. it's also great that I can drag and drop open files onto the Egnyte web page to upload. I also like the feature that lets you send several links at once in an organized manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could control how long links remain active. I'm not sure if it's a feature that exists but my company has locked. If it does not exist though, would be great to control whether a link is good for 7 days, or 30, 60, 90 etc. We will sometimes send a pre-read to a client more than a week in advance and need to answer individual requests to re-send if the link expires.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte lets me share big files with clients without setting up special file sharing permissions. This also lets me work with their other agency partners seamlessly. Internally, I was used to using Air Drop to share files with team members. During quarantine, Egnyte has become an important tool for quickly sharing files internally as well. It's especially useful while we are developing a document; we can quickly send each other new versions without setting up a complicated OneDrive system of re-saving files and archiving old ones.... the OneDrive approach has led to version control issues and lost changes in the past.
When my computer malfunctioned and I lost access to my files for about a month, I was able to piece together a lot of lost work by downloading files I had shared through Egnyte. Files I share with Air Drop can't be tracked down that way.

Egnyte is a great file sharing tool, especially if you are working across different organizations or different technologies e.g. PC / Mac, client + vendor / consultant / agency
