User friendly
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly and easy access for people we invite in

The price tag is pretty high and there is no intermediate solutions from a $45 monthly to a $145 monthly

We use it as a data room and invite investors to review our data. That has been pretty useful so far
Great Reliable Platform
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of uploading large files and sharing them with the added option of included a password protected links is very helpful in my day to day. The preview is option is great too.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would look a bit more flashy. I get the simplicity of it, but why not jazz it up. I use it with clients all the time. The Move/Copy can use some improving, takes a while to manually move multiple files.

Sharing large files, and password protecting proprietary info

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility for working with different teams of user while paying for the same plan. I had 20 different users on a 10 users plan, but not at the same time. So I disabled the inactive ones and activated the ones I needed for short term projects very easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
The apps and the system in general feels like a prototype that never evolved much in the last years. It's usable and safe, but not the user experience you might expect from other business oriented competitors. Many clients and even some employees hated the interface, found it confusing and many times ended up using wetransfer...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My service company used egnyte for centralized file sharing among several outsourced development teams and also for requiring and sharing files with clients.

What do you like best about the product?
Sharing capabilities are wonderful. We now create links routinely, eliminating the need to send email attachments. The Web user interface is excellent; We can do everything necessary to manage our content in a browser. Permission management is also easy from the Web UI. Access to Egnyte from mobile devices and notifications from the apps are also great. Commenting on content - from any device - is truly helpful. This too has eliminated a huge volume of emails. Finally, the activity and audit logs are extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Somewhat slow process for troubleshooting help tickets. Requires scheduling call backs, so can take some time to resolve. I was uncomfortable with remonte access to my screen for troubleshooting. Also cannot fully customize link sharing invitations. We have requested this capability but it remains limited to only certain types of links.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have greatly reduced or eliminated using email to exchange attachtments. This greatly reduced the effort required to find the latest version of a document that was submitted. We have also centralized a resource library for our clients using an expiring shared folder. This eliminates the need to turn off access to the material manually for each user. All of our users and customers are benefiting from a much more efficient way of submitting and reviewing content.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take a look at Egnyte and look at how easy they have made it to upload and share content. Administration is easy too!
Great Server, Apps Integration
What do you like best about the product?
Works great for online access anywhere. Many apps that integrate with Egnyte.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional 'synchronizing' issues from our local server to the cloud (minutes in delays). Not instantaneous, if you're using a local server to synchronize (makes sense, right? - you need time for Egnyte to catch up to your local server). Otherwise great!

Cloud based backup of our local server, as well as Microsoft Office integration.

To share big documents and archive them, and the possibility to find them in the future

Sometimes the uploading process crashes or is locked and I have to recharge again the files. But maybe can happens also because my internet connection

Sometimes I've lost some file on my computer and luckily I've found them archived on Egnyte.
Another big feature is that I can just refresh the link of documents already archived on Egnyte, instead of charge them again

Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is the cloud version and being able to access all my files anywhere anytime
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the list of users includes everyone who has ever had access to our files. I would like to archive past users so we don't see them in the active list.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to solve the problem of employees sending large files or files with sensitive data in them through email.
Great Cloud Service (esp for nonprofits)
What do you like best about the product?
The Microsoft word and excel online through egnyte make it possible to work remotely from anywhere, without needed microsoft office. As someone without the desktop version, this has made it possible for me to work from home in this pandemic. It's easy to send documents to my colleagues as well. I appreciate the ease of use and the fact that onboarding our company took 1 day. It was an easy process to switch our files into Egnyte and has completely transformed the way we can work together.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if multiple people could edit a document at once in Egnyte, like you can in Google docs. This feature addition would be really helpful. Additionally, if a colleague saves a document with the same name, it automatically updates and doesn't save the previous version--this is not helpful when making edits on grants in my specific job. I also don't love the interface of Word online--at times, documents I create in desktop word are shifted and formatted incorrectly in the Word online version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte has allowed my nonprofit the capability to work from home. Before Egnyte, all of our files were saved on our desktop computers. Now we can work together from anywhere. Since we're all remote on laptop computers, we are able to keep our files securely in one place, with no need to send around paper copies of documents like we had in the past.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Egnyte is an awesome product. Especially for nonprofits looking for a solution for cloud sharing documents, this is perfect. It was very easy to launch, with simple directions that could be shared with the whole team and a seamless process for launching. It has completely transformed the way we can work together, and has made remote work possible for us. I would absolutely choose Egnyte again if given the chance.
