We ditched our internal server for Egnyte
What do you like best about the product?
We love how we can access our files from anywhere and not rely on being in the office for accessing our documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
They charge extra to add 2 factor authentication support. We feel in 2020 that this should be a standard feature for any SAAS product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a small company we were paying too much for maintaining our in house server and if we had an employee working from home they weren't able to access files from the server. We found Egnyte as a cloud solution to our storage needs and was able to save hundreds each month.
Work with the product daily and love it.

Everything you need is all within one location.

It takes a little time to get use to all the ins and outs

Everything I need to use is all within one location, and everyone has access to the same files.
Good cloud system for Organization
What do you like best about the product?
It is very useful and easy to use tool to work in organisation. We can securely transfers files. One feature is really good is the comment area for a particular file.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think that there is anything that i don't like in Egnyte. Besides this, a faster cloud upload/download speed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte application was installed in our company. We also use backup option for users personal documents. Sharing big files with clients without sitting up special file sharing permission.

Egnyte is good file sharing tool. Highly recommended this application for organisations.
Egnyte for File Sharing
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is good for file sharing for a couple of reasons. It can be limited on what users can access, and it is easy to use. The look is simple and clean. It is not super modern but also does not look outdated either. It is easy to use, you can drag and drop items. I like that you can open a document, edit it, and the saved version is saved in Egnyte.
What do you dislike about the product?
Egnyte has a different pricing model, which is interesting. One thing that is a little annoying, but does have a workaround, is that only one person can open and edit a document from Egnyte at a time. This can be bypassed if the document is opened and edited using Microsoft Online, but it is still a little annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now our whole office is working remotely. We are having to use file-sharing a lot more right now. Egnyte allows us to work on the same document while keeping only one location for the most updated version for everyone to access.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Egnyte is good if you only have a small or limited number of users. Things can get a little complicated if more than about 20 users need to have access. Egnyte lets you limited what users have access to and backs up the information so it will not get lost.

Secure file sharing has always been an issue within the enterprise and once Egnyte was implemented it provides a quick and secure way to share phi / pii across distributed teams, devices and apps. It's simple interface combined with a secure link provides the team with a great collaboration tool.

Egnyte is great for sharing large files with everyone. We store all of our files for work on Egnyte and it makes accessing them a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being a complete online platform it makes it hard to access sometimes without having a good data signal. Larger files take a while to download.

When a file is to large to send with an email we can send a copy with Egnyte. Making all files accessible to your team and in one place is very simple. Automatic updates makes it easy to make sure everyone has the most up to date files.
