Excellent file sharing and collaboration platform
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is a robust platform for syncing and protecting data. I have been using it every day and I am very impressed it with its performance. Its availability as a desktop software is very useful, it removes the need to download a file or edit it online. It is also helpful to see previous edits and which person has worked on it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only one user can open a file and work on it. Other than that, it is a flawless platform.

Sharing files and collaborating with colleagues.

It's helping me a lot, especially when we are working from home. Don't really have depended on anyone for any file

Permissions are not the most straightforward, especially when using for external purposes.

Egnyte as a daily storage tool
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is user friendly. We use Egnyte to store all the data for our marketing programs and for the team to upload daily reports and reports that go to clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Egnyte has a tendency to increase pricing without added value. They also try to hard sell customers when they have a management change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The database we use are large in size and we are able to upload them to Egnyte and share a link with the team. Any file that wont go through typical email channels can be uploaded to Egnyte and links can be sent out.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would absolutely recommend if you are looking for web storage.

What do you dislike about the product?
The preview is sometimes too blur and may mislead when you review.
For example, there was a question on the ASME Code and the preview of the screen showed the table as a minus sign while when you download and read the exact pdf file it would show as a plus sign.
Probably the resolution of the screen was not as good enough for someone to read. It may be better if the resolution of the preview screen is a better quality.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are collaborating with a team of 150 people and it works fine with us. We are syncing folders and files with each other and it syncs well.
Egnyte is Easy to Use & Efficient!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can simply send a link to all clients for document uploading. Our accounting firm client added the link to their employees’ email signatures to encourage all clients to utilize Egnyte for document uploading.
What do you dislike about the product?
The individual URL is very long and not user friendly to manually type in, so when sending the link out in a hard copy letter, we had to point the user to a landing page with a simpler URL to access Egnyte link from there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte is keeping clients and employees safe during COVID-19 by limiting in person interaction through uploading all items electronically.

easy to copy and paste file and easy to be downloaded by customer

so far none. i never had an issues on egnyte as far as i remember

problems on easy access to important files.. the benefits are you can just send the link to the customer so they can access their only file without getting to your system

The ability to securely request and share files with our clients

I appreciate how secure the file sharing password settings are, however it's difficult to select a password that is strong enough to satisfy their criteria.

Keeping files secure, while also being able to effectively share data with our clients has been fantastic.

Easy to use Platform, intuitive. Simplicity in design

Nothing, loved every aspect of Egnyte. Visually it's comfortable and in line with other filing programs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing up to date presentations to 3 selling teams, while ensuring that "versions" of the decks and price lists weren't confusing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When using Egnyte, be sure to use the power features. Really understand the POWER of Egnyte and leverage it to its full potential
Would never have imagined a server solution like this years ago.
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte has enabled our company to work remotely and collaboratively for the last few years. I can't imagine entering the work from home during COVID phase without being set up on Egnyte.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would really like to be able to stay logged in to Egnyte web longer before being logged out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to do graphic work with Adobe Indesign and not have links broken. This is amazing.
