Excellent Private File Sharer
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to share, update and upload files. It's just a great portal to share files with coworkers on. We have no trouble uploading pdf or excel files into Egnyte.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't run into any problems while using Egnyte. I would maybe love the option of editing a file name as we are uploading into the system but there really not anything that I dislike about Egnyte.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can solve our file storage needs, having a specific place where our employees & collaborators can come to upload and access files is a time saver. This limits the amount of emails coming in to our mailbox.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Egnyte is an excellent cloud and data storage resource for sharing multiple files. Multiple users are able to access and work on said files. All in a safe and secure data setting. Egnyte is an easy to use platform and interface. It allows me to easily keep track of my files and data. Having to introduce people to our database is simple and quick. The customer service is great as well.

I can tell another team member exactly where to find the information they need for an example or instructions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike. It is a useful tool that my company uses daily.

All the information that team members need are at their fingertips! It has been a great time saver for me.
Egnyte - File Storage for Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte allows the linking of the storage to your computer's file explorer. This makes saving and subsequent access easy across devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system is organized by the user which can allow for less than optimal folder structure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Egnyte, I am able to access my files from multiple devices. This allows me to travel light between client sites for critical information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Create a structure for your users to follow to facilitate organization.
Similar experience to most document storage options - Good but not sure what makes them stand out.
What do you like best about the product?
The Egnyte platform performs as advertised. Great security, great accessibility of all types of files. The folks that work for their sales and support staff are very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not sure that I was able to discern what advantage they could give over their competition, most companies that offer cloud based storage and file access, offer excellent security and lots of storage and users. I just didn't really see the advantage for the price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are not currently using Egnyte, tested but didn't implement due to cost prohibitive pricing. The solution would have been used for cloud storage of data, but there are just other options out there that are less expensive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is expensive given what it provides. There may be some advantages that I didn't see, but if you are considering, you should push back on your sales rep to differentiate themselves from other services that might not be a centric to the construction industry, but provide similar products. Push back because at a midsize company a lot of what is offered by Egnyte can be handled in-house if done correctly, so don't be afraid to ask. We did, but didn't find their argument convincing, but that was specific to our case.

Ease of use, security, and ability to utilize this from anywhere in the world.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, I do not have any dislikes to report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to allow a secure way to store sensitive files for review. Ability to utilize this with DocuSign to securely sign documents online.

When there are no issues, it works fine.

Continually have sign in issues which halt the work process.

As a storage data base it is adequate. I haven't seen any additional benefits over like kind platforms.

Look at all other options before deciding on Egnyte.
Egnyte is user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I have a desktop app where I can drag files and it automatically uploads. I can send documents securely to clients and it is password protected. I appreciate that access can be given to certain individuals- only the staff members working with a client folder have access to it whereas other staff members have restricted access.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any dislikes using Egnyte.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits to file organization and working with clients is endless! I truly do not have any complaints about Egnyte.

Engyte makes it simple to create links for clients to securely share passwords and other sensitive information while keeping files organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints. This tool does what it is meant to do.

As a marketing and bookkeeping firm, our clients need to share passwords and sensitive documents with us. Egnyte lets me assure clients that they can easily share information with us in an encrypted environment.

Egnyte is very user friendly online cloud server. We can share the files online by buying server space our this and upload and download the files very eaisly.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is noting to dislike egnyte software but it can be improved more like BIM 360 online platform which may help this in growth also.

Some time we share the files to our client. For that we upload the files on egnyte and create the link of folder after that we share that link with him so he can access the files and download them.
So we are using this as file tranfer protocal. It is good mode of sending big files.
