Syxsense continues to grow with more and more features being added to simplify all our network tasks

  • November 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The continuous improvements made to the product since we started using it years ago. Makes managing a network much simpler through all the different tools available such as patching, inventory, software deployment and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that has remained an issue are the RC tools which have been a problem since day one of using the product. Although improvements have been made, there is still some issues that need addressing such as remote sessions cutting out, lag, display problems for the end user, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to automate our patching meaning both clients and servers remain up-to-date with security fixes leaving us more compliant with cyber standards and better prepared against security threats.
Rolling out software through Syxsense tasks instead of installing it onto individual machines makes the job so much simpler and quicker to carry out.
Using cortex workflows to automate other tasks and fixes throughout the network also makes things a lot simpler.
Getting a simplified view of the entire network through a web UI helps better manage the network as a whole.

Streamlined and Cost-Effective Patch Management with Syxsense

  • November 20, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Syxsense’s patch management solution stands out for its user-friendly interface that simplifies the daunting task of identifying and patching computers. The ability to quickly locate devices and deploy necessary updates without extensive manual intervention is a game-changer, enhancing productivity and minimizing system vulnerabilities. Additionally, the integration of PowerShell command execution directly to computers is an excellent feature, providing advanced users with the flexibility to perform complex tasks seamlessly.

Cost efficiency is another strong suit of this utility, offering robust features without breaking the bank. It’s reassuring to have access to such a powerful tool at a reasonable price point. Syxsense’s patch management tool is not only good for maintaining system integrity but also for keeping IT budget in check. Overall, it’s a reliable, efficient, and budget-friendly solution for IT environments that need to stay agile and secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Syxsense offers an array of strengths, it does have its limitations, particularly in the area of reporting. One notable downside is the lack of customizable reports. Although the solution comes equipped with a variety of useful canned reports that provide insights out of the box, the inability to tailor these reports to the specific needs of a business can be a drawback. In the realm of IT, where nuanced data analysis is crucial, the flexibility to create bespoke reports is often a necessity for in-depth assessment and strategic planning.

This limitation can hinder an organization's ability to drill down into the data that is most relevant to their unique environment or to present information in a format that aligns with their internal processes. For businesses that rely heavily on custom reporting to inform decisions and to demonstrate compliance or audit readiness, this could be a significant concern. Enhancing the reporting features to include customizable options would undoubtedly elevate the overall utility and appeal of Syxsense's patch management solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Syxsense is solving a variety of problems associated with patch management and system maintenance, which benefits users in several ways:

Automated Patch Deployment: It automates the process of identifying and applying patches to computers within a network. This reduces the manual workload on IT staff and minimizes the risk of human error.

Centralized Management: Syxsense centralizes the management of patching processes, making it easier to monitor and control patch deployments across multiple systems and environments from a single interface.

Time Efficiency: By streamlining the patching process, Syxsense saves significant time for IT teams, freeing them up to focus on other critical tasks.

Security: Keeping systems up to date with the latest patches is crucial for security. Syxsense helps in quickly mitigating vulnerabilities, thus reducing the risk of security breaches.

Direct PowerShell Command Execution: This allows for advanced administrative tasks to be executed directly, providing IT administrators with powerful scripting capabilities to manage systems more effectively.

Cost-Effectiveness: As a fairly inexpensive solution, it provides a robust set of tools without a large investment, making it accessible for businesses of all sizes and helping to manage IT budgets more effectively.

The combination of these features means that Syxsense is not just solving the technical problem of keeping systems up to date and secure, but it's also contributing to broader organizational benefits such as operational efficiency, resource optimization, and financial savings.
