Able to freeze systems. Preventing data theft

Nothing to dislike. Works as advertised.

Great product for asset and usage tracking.
What do you like best about the product?
Everything I've seen has been helpful in my job function. The interface is easy to use to identify System information, software usage, GEO tracking, and system Freeze. Reports help in the daily tracking of systems and can help recover stolen assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything I don't like so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unauthorized travel, Users taking additional assets on travel, Users failing to update systems.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of deployment, the ability to use Absolute for App resiliency as well as remote locking and wiping, all super important tools right now in today's IT landscape in 2021.
What do you dislike about the product?
The geo-tracking can be a little difficult to use, especially with fencing; But the company is very committed to making that better and working with you to deploy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have had multiple laptops or macs get lost or stolen with company data on them,. This closes that loop and makes it so we know where all our endpoints are period.
Top-notch computer tracking and information, a bit clunky for reporting and custom information.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly find out so much about an end-users machine, and to freeze the device quickly when necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes getting information out of the system is a bit cumbersome. Reports are there, and the stock ones are ok, but creating custom stuff always trips me up and never quite works like I think it should.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is indispensable for easy asset tracking and auditing. It is amazing for quickly seeing the status and last known location of a machine.
Rocky start but great in the end
What do you like best about the product?
Our executive teams likes the ability to extract job performance data of the staff from device usage report. Other great features are reports that detail security patch level, last reboot, and repair status of certain software packages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initially, we had support issues, but the staff rallied together to correct the issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Productivity metrics for staff that teleworking. When the pandemic started, we had no way of determining if staff were working consistently. Now, with Device Usage Reports, we have that ability.
Worth the cost for accessibility
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to access devices out of band has proved invaluable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The representatives I’ve dealt with for managing my account do not seem to listen when I offer them feedback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Theft recovery and management of devices off network.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The account representatives should focus more on items we use and request. An example is insight into executables on a hard drive. It would be nice to be able to exclude programs built into Windows from the full report.

remote wiping machines and enforcing bitlocker on machines

I like the information that is provided on the computers and bit locker status.
What do you dislike about the product?
No mode for dash board for a stand alone status center.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This software allows us to check the status of disk encryption and better tracking of inventory.

Absolute has great API plugins.

We love the remote freeze capabilities along with the full inventory report.

I dislike the challenge we have to control Mac / Apple products 100%
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We remotely freeze and unfreeze devices in our off-boarding process to secure the device and the data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Absolute is the best I have ever used, bar none. Give it a try, you will be thrilled with how well it works.

I like the interface and how easy it is to get the information we need quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found much I dislike. I would say the biggest thing is hard to move devices in and out of the profiles to keep an accurate count and licensed fleet.

We always know how many machines we have and their inventory details. It is also great to have the security of locking out machines if they become missing.
