Great tools for a mature IT team
What do you like best about the product?
I like the scripting and push functionalities. This helps mitigate the risk of local admin rights.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how the agents work. I wish it was more a clear way to see stale agents and or to unenroll devices.

What do you like best about the product?
EDD is an excellent tool for discovering and mitigating data at risk on employee system. Device freeze is absolutely essential for securing and recovering devices. The ability to freeze or wipe company devices is just what we needed to ensure company data is safe and secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Resport could be a bit cleaner to manage.

Data and device security.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy deployment and implementation. The tool works effectively and provides information far and beyond original expectations. The web page is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Needs improvement on allowing to schedule freeze of laptops on certain date and time. Allow to share custom report query. Need more flexibility regarding report scheduling (i.e. the maximum schedule is 1 month).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have devices that are not reporting correctly. The NO data devices, has more details under device summary which includes device serial number.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Overall, Absolute software is an excellent quality product. This product keeps improving and keeps adding great features; we have yet to take advantage of every great feature it offers. Absolute Support is superb, professional, and knowledgeable. The usable feature for us would be the device freeze functionality, as we have multiple turnovers of employees, which allows for remote lock-out devices. Absolute Software is no competion.

What do you like best about the product?
First and foremost, it excells at the advertised task. It gives our organization peace of mind that sensitive data will not fall into the wrong hands. Additionally, Absolute provides detailed hardware information about a particular device, and even provides information about what software is installed. It is extremely useful as a "One Stop Shop." The report feature is quick and easy, as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search feature could be better. When looking at an asset, the search does not always work, and a user may need to go back to the dashboard to complete their search. The new, upgraded UI has taken some getting used to, specifically when looking for the most recent date a device connected, and I don't feel that it, generally, made the product better, though I can't say it has affected my ability to use the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While it's not necessarily Absolute's number one use, it is easiest way to our organization has to find out which of our users are using which PC, and when they most recently signed on. It is not expressly used for asset tracking, but it can be used in a pinch, and can fill in any gaps our normal asset tracking software might have missed.

What do you like best about the product?
Absolute is an excellent piece of software to manage computers for security, theft, and monitoring. The console is straightforward to use, the dashboard has good visuals. There are email alerts on everything. Freezing a computer is easy, and there are many preventative measures in place to prevent unauthorized freezing or data deletion.
We worked with our vendor on training after we had it installed on a couple of computers. We spent an hour one day a week over three weeks. The training helped us to understand the software and how it works.

I can't think of anything that I don't like about the software.

Peace of mind for data loss and prevention of stolen devices. We are keeping sensitive personal data off of the business computers.

Ability to secure assets and track them- as well as scan for DLP - the agent stays on the laptop even If someone attempts to format the OS- as it stays in the bIOS

very few issues I have encountered, honestly it's been a great company to work with I find I can get answers quickly via their support or via my inside sales agent- overall a great experience

Easy access to launch and an excellent tool to reach the devices

The devices not always can be found in the console and make the final user; in my scenario, the user is a student, complicated to proceed with their task

I like the ability to Freeze the device remotely, providing a message to the User.

I'm not too fond of the Geolocation currently used, anxiously await the new rollout.
