Great product for device tracking and remote script execution
What do you like best about the product?
Device tracking is unbeatable and transparent to the end user - Agent install is easy. Once done, you have all the information available - device hardware and software information, geolocation, script execution, freezing, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reports have some limitations. A bit clunky as they are transition to new vs. "Classic" reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asset tracking, recovery of lost or stolen devices, remote script execution, freezing of devices.

What do you like best about the product?
Absolute has been an excellent tool to track computers and find devices associated with our users. The ability to freeze computers is definitely a good resource since we are working from home. The reporting functionality is beneficial in gathering data for multiple machine items.
What do you dislike about the product?
Absolute does a lot. I haven't encountered anything I dislike so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are freezing computers from the terminated user.

User interface! Easy to use, understand, and information at your fingertips in seconds!

In my few weeks of using the product, I'm not seeing any clear "flaws" or dislikes just yet. I'm assuming building reports and getting the exact data needed is available (at least hoping) before I get to that point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the business of receiving, replying, and closing internal tickets, it's a great tool to quick query workstations to hone in on a potential issue.

Definitely a powerful tool that could be utilized in multiple different ways across multiple departments

It shows the complete information of the system and also the software which is installed in it.

Till yet didn't find anything to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracing system details, which user it is assigned to, when it is last used, and also about security perspective (lost, stolen) can freeze the system.
Absolute is an excellent MDM solution in today's expanded remote worker environment

Ability to Freeze Windows platform laptops
What do you dislike about the product?
Some aspects to the console are not intuitive, and while certain legacy features are discontinued and new framework features are made available it isn't an intuitive navigation.

When users discontinue employment with our organization we are able to freeze the assets they have until returned.

What do you like best about the product?
Absolute is a one-stop shop for meeting all our compliance requirements. The dashboard is easy to navigate and provides great snapshots of current environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Software client and its updates don't play well with our AV software. Red flags are often thrown up for just Absolute updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meeting our encryption requirement for the number of devices we have was huge. Being able to quickly identify current status of devices was a benefit.
Great product for asset management and device security
What do you like best about the product?
It's an excellent tool for asset reporting, remote device locking, and reporting of possibly sensitive information (e.g., PHI) on endpoints. In addition, because the software interfaces with the system BIOS (on Windows PCs), the agent will re-install itself and report back even if the operating system is re-installed (Windows only). Absolute also does a good job when we need to remotely lock a computer that is either not connected to our VPN.
What do you dislike about the product?
Somebody can bypass the Absolute agent if you wipe a Windows-based computer and instead install Linux.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped track down multiple Dell laptops that required a particular BIOS update; it helps us determine which assets are currently active and allows us to lock remote laptops for terminated staff. It also allows us to determine which devices are encrypted and those that are actively running anti-malware software.
