Great program for asset management, tracking and security
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to lock machines down for employees no longer with the company. I also like the ability to pull reports on many different facets of our assets. I have not used any competiting programs. This is the 2nd company I've utilized this program at
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything, it is a well rounded product. All features I have used have worked without issue. A few years ago the program had some latency, I am happy to report I no longer experience these issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using it to pull OS and application reports for our assets. We also recently did a large hardware refresh and I use it to verify if machines that have not been turned in are being utilized properly or at all

I like the easy use of the UI and having the ability to customize your portal

I can not create groups and wipe devices as I would wish

Being able to track PC's and also track disposal

What do you like best about the product?
How quickly the client checks into the server. Its top notch.

Reports could be a little better in the reporting portion.

Device use and checkins. We need to see how often people are turning on their mobile devices.
Very beneficial appliication
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to lock machines when we are not able to retrieve them. Also the GPS information to locate the last login location of a computer is amazing. And the Scripts to remotely run works wonders

There isn't really anything I dislike about the application. It works just ask advertised and will definitely be using all the features in the future with our enviroment
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have had trouble with users returning computers after the user's leave the company. They would use them for a secondary machine instead of giving them back so this solves that major problem
Higher control over Assets
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I can "Brick" a device of a terminated employee and that we can find the location of devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features that are not available yet for reporting or grop reporting. They still rely a lot on something called "Classic" and the sp;lit of the console can let one overlooking fatures.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
blocking the access to devices for terminated employees so data cannot be extracted after termination.
Absolute is a really great product. It makes our lives a lot easier at work!

I like the ability to write and push scripts

So far nothing, I have only been using the product for a few weeks so far

We are solving the issues of stolen laptops and the benefits are getting them returned or able to track them when they hit the web.
Easy to use, saves time

Being able to quickly figure out who a machine belongs to and where they are located

static groups sometimes takes a while to populate so I can't use the search feature right away

mostly auditing to make sure that machines are on the correct domain and are still being used

What do you like best about the product?
I ike that it is very easy to manage all of the workstations when we are trying to find some kind of specific issue so it's very helpful to us as a company which is great

well to be honest there aren't many things that I don't like about Absolute but I think that the layout should be better and more tidy because it's overwhelming at times

well it really helps us solve all kinds of different issues, we recently had a laptop stolen from one of our users and we were able to freeze it and find out its location thanks to Absolute

Product backstops our asset management and gives us insight into asset use.

Not much. Product is a little complex and difficult to navigate.

Tracking and freeing pc's, monitoring activity.
Excellent Asset management
What do you like best about the product?
Absolute provides phenomenal reporting and inventory access. You can find information quickly and efficiently. The interface is easy to understand and use, and the response time on queries is acceptable. Creating reports is fast and easy and using the same report to find what you need is also simple and fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not too much that I don't like about this tool. Sometimes finding the agent for installation can be a multiple-step process. It would be nice if there was a quick link from the devices page to add a new agent. Currently it is multiple clicks to get to where the agent can be downloaded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We utilize Absolute for our asset management and inventory. As it automatically scans the device for software and hardware, we no longer have to manually track who has what and where it is located. Since we are 100% working from home office, we need the tools to keep us informed of what is currently installed on each computer.
We also use the app to generate a report so we are alerted when a user has stopped using their corporate machine. Users often would rather use their own devices for many different reasons, but that is against our corporate policy.
We also use the software to track which computers will need to be upgraded so we can be prepared for possible hardware issues.
We use it for a lot of things and find it works great for us.
