Excellent product makes patching a breeze

Ease of patch deployment
I use Absolute daily and it is my go to app.
What do you like best about the product?
It seems that whatever I'm looking for in connection to a device, it is in Absolute. It is especially helpful for lost devices, windows version management, reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more reports. The version of report writer included is good but there are common reports I think everyone would enjoy seeing added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Absolute is added by Dell when we purchase a computer. Our gold image is applied and when we receive the device it is ready to go!
Absolute Endpoint Protection/Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the data risk assessment report. My company still has most employees coming into the office but we have some who work from home more often than others. The data risk assessment allows me to view devices with PII stored locally and delete the data as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I did not like was the lack of deep-dive training. I cannot blame the company as it is not their fault since I was not here for the implementation of the product. However, I think updating their training webinars and getting into more detail about capability and how-to's would be very valuable to their customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in Banking so we deal with a lot of NPPI. Absolute allows us to set up alerts to know if devices are out of usual locations and the data risk assessment report allows us to identify devices with high (or any) amount of sensitive data and take action on that data on-demand. I am looking forward to better utilizing the solution!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As with any product/service, try to utilize training hours to the best of your ability. Absolute does a lot more than it appears at the surface so the more questions/info can gather to bring to the Absolute team, the better!
Awesome solution for device visibility, tracking and remote wipe/freeze
What do you like best about the product?
Integrated at the BIOS level so cannot be removed even with an OS reimage or HDD/SSD replacement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a little expensive but understandably so as there is no direct competitor product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to track device location, check for mandatory/unapproved software, freeze of potentially compromised devices, remote wipe of lost/stolen devices.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take a look at all of the features available - it's not just about remote wiping and geo-tracking

Tracking and notifications sent about devices going off domain and the ability to lock the device.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, this program is very supportive in my organization.

Asset location
Absolute in K-12 Setting
What do you like best about the product?
The tracking aspect and the ability to push powershell scripts out. Have used both of these features and it saved us from having to manually touch thousands of devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the menus are lacking for example the history when trying to look up the status of a script deployment. Also sometimes the location tab on an asset just doesn't show up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking of devices, work in a K-12 School system so we deploy thousand of laptops that we can track in case a student loses or the device gets stolen. We also used absolute to push out powershell scripts and that has saved up time from physically touching thousands of devices.
Syxsense business use
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of patching our environment and simplicity. Very good management of devices/patches and clients just need internet access to get patches.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes can be a little laggy. A few quirks here and there that usually get resolved in updates to the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to push workstation and server patches to all Linux/Windows systems. Also started doing some software installs from Syxsense. Feature updates for Windows 10 is also a plus.

Interface that looks good and provides access to the information we need and want access to about our workstations and servers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the steps for the Applications area are a bit confusing for where the save or continue buttons are located.

We use SixSense primarily as a patch management solution for our workstations and servers.

This product is very capable. You may be able to reduce the number of other applications you rely on for patching, application deployment or inventory of your servers and workstations.

Nothing, its a good product that works very well for us.

Getting all relevant updates together on one platform to push out to internal and external users

A very good product and company

The flexibility and depth of Cortex is outstanding and yet is simple to configure.
What do you dislike about the product?
not having the ability to have multiple tabs \ copies open is a downside
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our company is is more than just a patch \ security tool it is allowing use to ensure all of our other admin and protection tools are installed and running on every device.
