Great Well Rounded Solution
What do you like best about the product?
It combines a lot of features in one platform, from securing assets, monitoring your security posture, and even allowing you to automate actions including updates and machine configs!
What do you dislike about the product?
In some fields, it is a bit tricky to filter and gain information on specific assets. You have to really know how to create the exact correct query to gain the insights required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gaining better insights on the posture of our assets and empowering us to act and respond to any issues that present themselves. We have been able to really hone on issues that we have only guessed we've had.
Powerful tool, perfect to protect.
What do you like best about the product?
Its greatful that we can lock the computers remotely. Is a good inventary of the laptops and desktops and permits run instalations and commands execution in MacOS and Windows.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like a statics module with more information about the laptops, dektops and all operative systems in the console. May be a connection with Google Auth for the endpoint users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have all our laptos inventory in Absolute. We can manage the laptos and lock for security reasons. We can unlock easily from the console or with a unlock code.

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to track my devices as well as see the health of my devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
That it takes 15 minutes for each device to reach the server once its online. I have no patience and have to develope that skill
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is making it easier for the University to track and recover devides that students "forget" to return or that they have stolen from them
Great product
What do you like best about the product?
Absolute allows me to track devices and usage from anywhere, even if the OS is wiped, or disk is replaced. It also allows me to freeze devices with custom messages, which helps in getting devices back.
What do you dislike about the product?
Spent too much time tracking stolen hardware, it's fun but you have to just let the Absolute team do it for you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
tracking lost, stolen, or devices that need to be returned.
Absolutely valuable to keep our business computers going.
What do you like best about the product?
We love the Absolute Persistance Technology that embeds into the BIOS firmware. This ensures that if we freeze a stolen or lost asset, it will stay that way even if the OS is wiped and reloaded.
The geolocation and geofencing works really well and helps us set perimeters on computers to further enhance security.
The application resilience is awesome and helps us understand the health of our key management and security agents such as SCCM, VPN, Anti-virus, DLP, Qualys, etc.
The remote file delete, and device wipe is something we have been using for a while and it is quite useful.
I also love the option to send a message to a user for something else, for example when we cannot reach them and need to make contact with them with regards to their computer compliance.

I find the role based access control (RBAC) quite limited when we want to limit users to only certain collections of computers. This would might be a bigger issue for a larger company where they want to segregate areas or countries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Absolute helped us secure our computers to ensure we can track, lock and wipe them when they go missing or are stolen.
The added benifits of application resilience really helps us track the health of our other key applications and agents on the device and help us report and / or repair a lot of these types of agents.
The overall time to manage devices are reduced for our IT Teams.

One of the Best tool available for Device Blocking/Monitoring/Pushing Scripts/Wiping or Cleaning
What do you like best about the product?
The best part is the control we have on our assets - Any unauthorized access can be blocked virtually. A device can be wiped if need be which is again a virtual task. We can monitor device logins/softwares installed on them etc
What do you dislike about the product?
Devices cannot be wiped if we dont have encription of some of the machines. We do get history of lets say 3 years or 4 years of wiping and freezing devices. There is a limit of history data available which makes it difficult of why and how and when devices were freezed/unfreezed/unenrolled/wiped etc
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its helping in control on our devices and it helps us to know any unauthorized access. One of the tool we use for device wiping virtually. helps us to understand who is using teh device and where/when
Security tool with overall positive impact
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to manage and deploy, lightweight with clean UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Generating custom reports is sometimes messy, and console doesn't provide full licensing details.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Endpoint visibilty is the biggest one for us. Additonally, we rely heavily on Absolue reports for application auditing. Endpoint visibility
Great for monitoring company assets
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to track all machines and the location accuracy is a big plus. The ability to create local administrator accounts is also amazing when users get locked out of their machines or get removed from the domain, a real life saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, when you first log in and go to search for an asset if you type too quickly the search goes away and you have to re-try, other than that just being able to search by users on a machine would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Endpoint management for all company assets. Made location tracking and lockout recovery a much faster process with easy to use built in tools. Overall great experience

What do you like best about the product?
It's robust. Realtime information is as "real" and current as as can be.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes duplicates can occur on reimaged machines.

Tracking down machines that were not returned.
Only product that can truly pinpoint the geolocation of a laptop
What do you like best about the product?
It works with Chromebooks, Mac and Windows PC. Unlike other endpoint products which are only Windows or only Mac, this one supports multiple platforms; including Chromebooks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Absolute needs to have more "industry standard" features to manage the endpoint. For example, it takes almost 24 hours to get an update of the details of an endpoint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to "freeze" any device (Mac, PC, or Chromebook). Able to use this product for Windows without requiring a Microsoft Active Domain controller. We are a 100% remote company and everyone works from a different location.
