Absolute Review SDPD
What do you like best about the product?
Reporting and all the data points. Ability to look at all details of each endpoint is great. Ability to run small scripts and ability to install applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
None so far. This tool has been a great addition to our suite of tools that we use to manage our endpoints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding endpoints that were hidden from inventory and how we can identify issues from a single pane of glass.

What do you like best about the product?
Best features:
- Script execution on endpoints through Absolute Reach, ability to enumerate features, configure endpoints, deploy software or agents.
- Activity reporting, get logon and location for endpoints, useful in productivity and HR reporting
- Location reporting and geofencing of assets

What do you dislike about the product?
No negative experiences from a end user perspective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote device freeze and wipe and applicaiton protection features are some of the most used features of the platform. The ability to freeze and wipe data securely and remotely is invaluable.
Great product for tracking our student Chromebooks
What do you like best about the product?
Absolute is easy to track student devices, such as their location, but also who is using the device, where was it last used, and when.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Absolute Secure Endpoint is the more obscure system for freezing Chromebooks, less concise and condensed than the previous version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Absolute is solving student usage and device tracking for us. It benefits us greatly in maintaining our asset inventory as well as verifying the correct students are in possession of the correct devices.

the wipe function sometimes requires ages to reach the target

It helps you to keep your devices safe, especially if they had been stolen
A great tool to have to support Asset Management.
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to track trust asset and with the abilty to freeze machine when not used to help with the recovery and re harvest of kit thoughout the trust. Using the message system to update and audit the users. We also made good use of the geo location when tracking asset .

Unable to think of any known downside to the system .

Recovery of unused kit along with helping with the patching needs for the organisation . Looking at software installed . We also use it to send audit updates which need to be completed by the users.
Absolute the best solution to manage you device
What do you like best about the product?
having everything in one solution, from the console I can rasterize, monitor, locate and even send scripts remotely. there are many advantages to using this solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
there are very few things to point out at this point, but sometimes it takes some time to sync the changes and then to reflect them in the console.improving this would be perfect

Agent embedded in bios is why we started to look at Absolute Software 15 years ago to replace other solutions we used.

This unique agent sets it apart from other software solutions, as it is not removable even through reinstallation – offering us control over our assets and the software installed on them.
Moreover, in addition to the persistence and availability of APIs within the product, our collaboration with Absolute has allowed us to develop our own suite of tools. These tools, a combination of our own internal creations and joint efforts with Absolute, have significantly enhanced the effectiveness of Absolute Secure Endpoint within our specific business environment.

One area for improvement is the license model of Absolute Secure Endpoint. It would be beneficial if Absolute offered a more affordable entry-level license, allowing customers to experience the product's value and easily add on additional features as needed. Simplifying the licensing approach would enhance the user experience and cater to a wider range of customers with different needs and budgets.

Reliable asset and Software management, All other tools can be removed och gone missing with a reinstall or compromised by enduser
Absolute helps us keep piece of mind with remote equipment
What do you like best about the product?
I often refer to this tool for oversight into our fleet of remote devices. The freeze functionality has been invaluable for securing assets during transit or the end of a remote worker's employment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The freeze function, though extremely useful, can be stubborn to disable and tricky to troubleshoot remotely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Absolute helps in managing and securing remote endpoints by giving detailed oversight of hardware and software assets, as well as the ability to physically securing remote workstations in the event of a malicious event.

Absolute Secure endpoint is a great tool because it can not be disabled by other than de adminstrator

Great granular software for device management with a broad range of tools at your disposal.
What do you like best about the product?
The geolocation feature for devices along with the freeze capability is great for device management
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the unenrollment process isn't instantaneous but other than that no complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Device management, inventory and preventing unauthorized usage. Geofences prevent devices from working outside of their designated areas, inventory management allows us to keep track of devices in case we need to investigate for whatever reason, we can also check device usage if necessary.
