One Click Integration. We almost tried to achieve that with CI. We have integrated various tools using the plugins from Cloudbees.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just an overall brilliant solution for your CI CD needs

Flags....Feature flags

  • September 22, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Rolling out new features in a more controlled way
What do you dislike about the product?
We are more of terraform users, so i am still trying to figure out how to use feature flag with terraform and our CI/CD. Unfortunately we have not using other cloudbee products and hence this part is still in something we are testing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently exploring CloudBees feature flagging to make specific capabilities available to specific classes/sets of users

Automation is necessary and so is CloudBees CI

  • September 22, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
CloudBees CI is a great tool for automation. Automation is the need of the hour for each individual for each firm. Automation helps you speed up processes and decrease the time taken to be delivered to the customer. That is what is needed. Everyone has very less time and want things integrated and delivered quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The errors can be more subtle and crisp. Using some scripting the errors can be made more readable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
there are multiple benefits as can be seen while using the tools, including the interface and how it is to use the tool. the tool is a lot handy to use and interact with. In this automation workd such tools help in faster and continuous integration.

Well supported orchestration for your CI pipelines

  • August 23, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Scripted masters and Kubernetes based system which allows us to scale out our pipelines and services without manual intervention.
What do you dislike about the product?
Upgrading and keeping an eye for patches can be time-consuming. Though the Cloudbees support and advisor removes the time for investigations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have saved numerous hours of maintenance and debugging by taking advantage of CloudBees support and their CI advisories.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
CloudBees CI is flexible with a large ecosystem of every needed plugin and well supported by their support team. With helm, upgrading Cloudbees CI is easier than it's ever been, though it still requires keeping an eye on the changes and parsing the release notes with a critical eye. A poorly executed upgrade can take your system offline for hours.

The standard in CI/CD - with great advantages of the paid version, but also disadvantages

  • August 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jenkins is extended by many helpful enterprise plugins like role based access, templates and many more and especially by connecting the various Jenkins to one huge cluster that you can manage and operate like one large Jenkins including trigger and copy artifact. Installed on a cloud system like OpenShift, you can even spin up a new Jenkins with one click. License allows any number of Jenkins instances.
Teams can be onboarded and managed easily with templates.
Automated and quality assured updates of most important plugins make maintenance a lot easier.
Support is professional and fast in most cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
The paid version is quite expensive. The license model was improved - it formerly was per master and executors which could lead to architecture based on license. Today it is better, now based on users (logged in or committing to SCM) , but with high costs per user, which can lead to hight costs very fast or it might lead you to try to limit number of users or switch some projects back to open source Jenkins losing the clustering advantages for these teams.
Changes and bugfixes sometimes can take a long time if they are important for you but not relevant for (many) other customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jenkins, the de facto standard for CI, can be a lot more useful with the enterprise plugins and with the clustering option.
You can manage large projects or many teams and projects a lot better than with one large Jenkins (Jenkinstein) or with many small non-connected ones.
Refactoring is made easier by just moving directories/projects around in the cluster.
Jobs can run as if they were on one large Jenkins (i.e. trigger, copy artifacts etc.)
