Abstraction at it's best

  • August 21, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of upgrade and updating the plugins
What do you dislike about the product?
No feature to enable/disable the license. Please include a feature where we can disable/enable the license, this will be useful when we create a clone/snapshot. I have faced this issue during the restoration of the snapshot/backup it starts showing the new instance as a standby CI server and there is no such option to induce and test VM level failure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A very stable platform and helps us run our build process round the clock.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
CloudBees people are best at what they make and do. Do not be doubtful and don't think much, just go for it. You'll never regret your decision.

Amazing CI platform integrates smoothly with Cloud solutions

  • August 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Cloudbees Jenkins Operation Centre is the best CI tool integrates well with AWS & other cloud providers.
Cloudbees documentation on integration with other solutions is top notch. I faced initial hiccups with setting up Kaniko integration for docker-less build of images and pushing to Amazon ECR but once I went through the self explanatory documentation of Cloudbees Jenkins with Kaniko pipeline it was just matter of minutes to get up and running.

The Cloudbees Plugin Catalogue is also very helpful in choosing the right plugin with Cloudbees Support enabled. We don't use any plugin which is not approved by Cloudbees. This way our systems & apps stay much safer than before.

Cloudbees support has provided exceptional support and guidance for numerous projects and helped us get over the line with confidence.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cloudbees could think about a competitive pricing, even though it has an enormous count of products and well maintained support system for each of them, there are some areas where I personally felt the pricing could have been 5-10% less.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have re-architected our whole CI platform on AWS EKS using Cloudbees Jenkins Operation Centre where we have ephemeral containerized build agents
as compared to previously used Static VMs we are saving close to a $1M every year.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The best time to get onboard with Cloudbees is "TODAY" analyze your requirement and talk to any cloudbees support channel you would get all the answers immediately. The Products are very well maintained and with every new upgrade you get new features right out of the box.

The Cloudbees support and guidance is unparalleled to any vendor. I personally felt like they held my hands in every tough situation and helped me fix the issue ASAP.

You can also ask for future features as RFEs (Request For Enhancement) so their engineers would prioritize the work and deliver as a new upgrade.

There are endless possibilities with Cloudbees and their model of operation, being an active user/administrator of Cloudbees Jenkins for over 4 years, I can tell the difference it offers right away.

Perfect package to manage your software delivery

  • August 19, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Cloudbees Jenkins and Jenkins Core. both give me an ultimate experience of having our whole organization a stop shop to place all the projects at one place and very easier to manage all of it. Also, we can leverage the configuration by project basis which is really awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few plugins which are only available in the paid version. Cloudbees should enable some of them for community edition as they play a major role for everybody using the Cloubdees products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've solved the manual process of building, promoting to env's. Deployment to higher env's. it's all automated now with cloud bees Jenkins

Great upgrade to an already excellent product

  • August 14, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've used open source Jenkins and CloudBees Jenkins Platform prior to using CloudBees CI. Each new iteration was better than the last. The old license model was based on the number of masters and agents which was extremely limiting. We had 2 masters and 10 executors shared across them. Near the release date, the system became extremely busy which lead to increases in build times due to waiting. The main benefit of CloudBees CI is infinite master and agent scaling due to the change in license structure. This allows many teams to use and manage their own system. Since each master connects to the operations center, onboarding time is decreased since the new masters can reuse existing configurations provided by the operations center.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far there are not many downsides to using CloudBees CI. It seems like the user based licensing is slightly more expensive. Also managing or paying for Kubernetes infrastructure can be costly but this is where most of the scalability of the platform comes from.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CloudBees CI allows us to unify the Jenkins infrastructure that many of our teams use. Instead of each team running their own open source master and agents they can now take advantage of the features of CloudBees CI. The new licensing also assists with scaling our infrastructure as we need to grow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
CloudBees CI offers many integrations which makes it useful. Consider the cost of migrating and using more of the plugins versus a scripted approach.

What do you like best about the product?
best scalable and extensible architecture
What do you dislike about the product?
licensing model can be more flexible but not a big problem compared to value that it provides
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
continuous integration testing, works with multiple cloud providers and one stop shop for many needs

Shortening Software build time with Cloudbees

  • June 12, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Cloudbees Build acceleration entirely and intelligently speeds the software build by distributing tasks over to different cloud clusters. Cloudbees build and accelerate work perfectly fine with other famous cloud services providers such as AWS, GCP, and AZURE. With the help of Cloudbees Build Acceleration, we were able to get rid of the old process of slow builds and improved our build time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything seems to work fine with Cloudbees Build accelerator and we have no such issues with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloudbees Build Accelerator has helped us in improvising and increasing the speed and accuracy of software build time. Before Cloudbees our lot of infrastructure was used to run builds and tests and it took a lot of time but with Cloudbees the software build speed has tremendously increased and half our infrastructure is utilized.

Delivery times reduced while getting more insight into our obstacles

  • June 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Instead of all kinds of automation scripts all over the place, maintained by different people, we now use Cloudbees CD to manage the different stages in our deployment pipeline. Because of that centralized approach we now have gotten transparent in sight into the full pipeline, making it easier to address annoying obstacles we have.
What do you dislike about the product?
We did run into some limitations of the API support, making it necessary to create some workarounds. But we see improvements being made since the initial implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a growing number of development teams, spread over multiple countries. Deploying to production became problematic, as our operations team was constantly needed and became a bottleneck. Using Cloudbees CD the teams have regained control over their products and deployments: using standardized pipelines, they decide now when to push updates to the different stages in the deployment pipeline, increasing their effectiveness.

Impressed by the quick and efficient support by the team.

  • May 29, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As mentioned in the title, for me the most impressive part of Cloudbees is their efficient support team, who are dedicated enough to. pick any support queries from our side soon as possible and very much dedicated to support us in all possible ways even if the issue is with our system which interacts with Cloudbees, and they will support you till the issue is resolved.I recall an incident happened 3 years before when our team were new to Jenkins, CI and Cloudbees, one of our server upgrades broke the whole installation, and we were not able to get Jenkins up and running. The amazing support CB provided during the time is appreciative. Even after 7 hrs of one resource who supported us, without even a break, he passed over all the details to another resource and he immediately joined with us to support without any delay. They are the experts in the CI/CD area, which helps your company to set up flexible scalable solution for CI/CD.The flexibility of thousands of certified plugins makes your life easy. A big thanks to the Cloudbees team to support us with thier services all these years
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to mention here, I would recommend cloudbees services based on my past 4 years experience with the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When my team was first into CI /CD platform, cloudbees helped us in orchestrating the services, to set up a CI CPplatform with full support and expert advice. Now we are into the cloud adventures, with thier support.

Changing the “way we’ve always done it.”

  • May 28, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
On demand build and deploy triggers instead of waiting for a release window.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, we love every feature of the product
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing teams to release fixes and features faster through automation
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you administer a large open source jenkins cluster or a bunch of masters, get CloudBees!
