Monica Vinader X 5x Review
What do you like best about the product?
5x have been an integral part of our Data Team at Monica Vinader for nearly a year. Anmol, Vinay and Sagar have been an extention of our internal data community and it has been a pleasure to work with them on a daily basis. They have been quick to pick up business context, worked hard to tight deadlines and helped optimise our ETL considerably.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have been laser focused on optimising our data stack through 5x consultancy for the last 12 months, however now we have reached the end of this enormous project, I'd like to understand and extract more value from the 5x Platform itself on a BAU basis. We hope to see how we are able to maximise the potential of the next gen of 5x later this month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We came to 5x for consultancy support in advance of migrating from our BI Tool. This project was threefold:
1. Consolidating our Data Warehousing capability to BigQuery
2. Optimising our ETL layer
3. Going to market and onboarding to a new BI Tool that met all of our business requirements
We are now at a point where 5x have helped us improve the efficiency across the whole of our data stack, from processing costs to business-user insight generation in Sigma. As a lean data team, managing this stack ourselves is now much more realistic from both a governance and pipeline perspective, as well as having a single source of truth when it comes to our stakeholder facing metricss.

the team are friendly and always walk the extra mile to do things better!

Actually there is nothing really from my side that made my experice bad with them, they're always proactive and responsive

What do you like best about the product?
5X provided us with an outstanding turn-key solution that uses some of the best technology out today. Thanks to their expertise, we successfully implemented a comprehensive solution in less than a month. In addition, they have an expert team of data consultants, that help us manage our data with best practices in place.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to point to anything - 5X does exactly what we need with zero maintenance
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of building and maintaing disparate components within our tech stack, we chose to deploy the 5X platform. This has eliminated the hassle of identifying, validating, negotiating or implementing individual components. Any recommendations that we get from the 5X team are well thought, taking all edge conditions into considerations.
Amazing product and great support team
What do you like best about the product?
5X helped us build our data team from scratch and created a comprehensive end-to-end data platform, requiring no additional platform resources from our team. The 5X team was technically sound, strong, and consistently available to discuss anything about data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found any issues and have personally learned a lot from the 5X team.

5x is helping us build end to end data platform with low cost and zerp platform engineer from our team.
Best in class integrated data platform
What do you like best about the product?
Their comprehensive user interface helps us accomplish tasks more quickly and provides better visibility into each step of our data operations. The 5X data platform is a plug and play solution, offering a unified space to reliably build, monitor, and maintain data flows for business analytics. With native integration of top-tier data tools, 5X provides the flexibility to deploy and build according to our business needs, enhancing collaboration within our teams.
In addition, they also offer an out of the box consulting services, with experts who act as a part of our internal team when we need to achieve business objectives within a limited timeframe.

What do you dislike about the product?
All companies including 5X experience some growing pains. However, they make sure issues are resolved quickly ensuring a smooth customer experience
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our primary goal was to manage all data operations from a single UI, which 5X successfully implemented in no time. Additionally, we utilize their expert services for critical data-focused projects, such as cost optimization, improve query performance, strategize data operations etc.

What do you like best about the product?
5X ingestion is very intuitive user interface, works as expected, incredible support from the 5X team. The setup is easy! We use it for almost all our customers who need a data stack in minutes.
I am also excited about the upcoming release of Mavis AI on 5X.

What do you dislike about the product?
They do not auto-setup BigQuery (only snowflake as of today) and as a BigQuery fan I am excited to see them add support for this (they said it would be done in Q3!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fastest way to get a stack setup and connected. We use them to get a warehouse, ingestion and a dashbaord on day 1. They are fast and cheap with great service.
Quality Customer Support
What do you like best about the product?
You get quality customer support from individuals who are experts in their field.
What do you dislike about the product?
Time difference can post as a challeng but 5X have been adjusting work hours to give best support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
5X has been streamlining data ingestion and creating dbt models to make data usage more efficient.

What do you like best about the product?
5x team is great to work with! They are quick to resolve any issues, give great support and always willing to answer questions. Additional bonus is the cost savings!

With a newer platform, there are always a few hiccups and features that are still in the works

Cost savings, along with the ability to quickly build custom connectors.
Great data platform and consulting experience at a small startup
What do you like best about the product?
5x was able to enable my team at Upright to quickly stand-up and end-to-end data platform covering Data Ingestion, Warehousing and BI. The experience was almost "turnkey" - we didn't have to worry about integration between tools, managing separate contracts, or many of the other headaches that come up standing up Data Infrastructure.
As a small data team this was critical to let us focus on delivering value to our customers as we scaled from 2 to 7 people. As everything just worked we could deep dive into using the tools and creating assets used across the business.
The benefits of the platform as they continue to add new features such as cost management, reporting and a centralized administration experience - alleviating a common problem with SaaS solutions where you need to manage permissions and other items in multiple places - a data security/governance risk. They also allowed us to lower our costs through their pre-negotiated vendor rates letting us benefit from their scale at our small size. This made it easier to get buy-in on our data strategy - starting small and scaling as we got support.

Their novel approach let us flex our team as needed and handle ebbs and flows in work as we needed - they quickly became an extension of the team and liason to the expertise within 5x.

What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to pick any item to "dislike" it's one that's a common problem with consultancies and companies in general. Some members of the team were more effective than others. In the case where this happened we were able to work with 5x to upskill, changing processes and resources quickly to ensure our needs were met. I wasn't disatisfied but it was one area of improvement.

5x helps us to maximize our cost/benefit of the entire data platform. It did this two ways.
-Lowering our operational costs by leveraging their Data Platform to easily scale to our needs and leverage the work done by a larger team.
-Allowing our team to focus on benefits and value delivery as it just worked.
As the platform is a aggregator that offers of mix of existing solutions which they pre-negotiate, integrate, and add unique tools(usage/cost analysis) on top it gave us the freedom to choose the best product for our needs and know it would work seamlessly. Ex. We looked at the Ingestion tools available and chose the one that worked with the SaaS/3rd Party products used on the operations side.
The features they add on top will add more and more value as they are built out - making these services easier to manage and optimize.

5X - a platform that unifies how we use our data
What do you like best about the product?
The 5X ingestion tool is user friendly and has allowed us to have custom connectors, enabling us to pull data from all of our disparate sources. One of the biggest selling points of the platform is the ability to have a single IDE for all our data needs. We can now access our most important tools pertaining to data, managing RBAC, monitoring utilization and overall spends all from a single UI.
What has been even more impressive is their Customer Success team. They have been is exceptionally proactive, consistently ensuring that we have all the required support to maximize the value of our investment. They have been great with timely check-ins to personalized support, and their commitment to our success has truly made a significant difference in how we are leveraging their platform.

From our experience thus far, there have been no downsides to 5X Data!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
5X has helped us address one of our major challenges which was the rising cost of data ingestion. Additionally, 5X stitches multiple data operations into a single UI, enabling us to focus on the end result without worrying of the underlying tech stack.
