Boomi - Best IPAAS tool
What do you like best about the product?
automation, ease of use, integration patterns, api management, customer support
What do you dislike about the product?
debugging is a bit difficult, api proxy settings
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Exchanging the data between different applications helps in automating things and decreasing the manual work.
Boomi is the glue that binds our distributed systems together
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Boomi for over 5 years and throughout that time it has been extremely stable, was easy to setup, configure and maintain. We rarely need support but they've been responsive when called upon. I appreciate their pricing model in unlimited data flow and only paying for the connector types you use which has been important as we onboard new systems and need to ensure they're communicating in a safe and efficent manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their trianing portal could use a refresh.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Boomi is our system bus connecting our various disparate systems together
Easy to use yet extremely powerful
What do you like best about the product?
Boomi has allowed me to do things for my organization in extremely short time-frames that would not otherwise be possible. It also rewards intelligent design by allowing quick and easy re-use of established processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could test through the quick test mode with more than just a handful of documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Boomi solves the issue of needing to connect to a large number of different systems with different data structures quickly and easily.
Amazing flexibility and complexity that can be achieved with Boomi
What do you like best about the product?
Complex business logic can be made, reliable, high volume and fast. Customer community is amazing, lot of examples and support is spot on. Best Integration Ipaas out there.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is tech-heavy and new user adoption takes longer than other platforms. Not so easy to use. Implementation can a bit heavy at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Source of truth, complex integration with data manipulation

What do you like best about the product?
Is an e-commerce company we integrate with many different clients. One of our major one uses Boomi to handle data upload from the storefront and it is seamless and vast. A win-win for us and our client.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes on busy days with lots of customer orders it can get backed up but we just have to wait for Boomi to process it all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It takes out the manual process of transferring data files over from customer orders. Speeds up business operations.

Flow needs some work, needs to be more custom editing

Great professional services team, support offerings lack a bit in the end user experience realm
What do you like best about the product?
The technical architects are top notch, hands down my favorite part about Boomi! I am not someone who builds integrations, my team supports the runtime, infrastructure, and process reporting for the completed projects, so my feedback is less about the product and more about the professional services side.
All of the professional services team members I've ever worked with are truly phenomenal. Specifically Rahul Panicker and Brian Brinley. Tremendous drive to solve problems, subject matter experts not only in Boomi runtime but also AWS. Pleasant, responsive, knowledgeable. I can't say enough good things. We had trouble getting sufficient answers to our questions from Boomi support, and for our business, we really need the technical architect skillset to unblock us from time to time, and to also help us scale up/out as needed.

What do you dislike about the product?
Navigating support is challenging depending on your service package, there seems to be a lack of consideration for the user experience. For example, we use the runtime monitoring via Professional Services. Boomi support members do not seem to have any ability to see that we have this service, and we have long delays due to Boomi support asking for logs or files that the runtime team could easily provide. When we have instability in our runtime, we would expect Boomi support to work behind the scenes with runtime team, but this doesn't happen unless we tell them that we have this engagement, and they need to do this. Also, we've recently inherited another boomi runtime (acquired tech stack from a company that went under) and they use MCS for both runtime and infrastructure monitoring. It's not clear how communication works, and similar challenges -- Boomi support doesn't seem to have any way to know that they are working with a customer who has MCS. The boundaries are a bit fuzzy from professional service offerings, and these are things that can typically be worked out, just requires a lot of engagement and driving via customer success and various players.

Newer things take times to on-board into the platform like new connectors which already exists on other platform.

Integrating with ERP to push the data exchanges to all the backend system. this will enable the application to help t he business to enable all the purchase to fulfillment and finally payment

High reusability, as we have implemented all integrations following a similar structure
Lots of standard connectors, so you don't have to create the connection to a standard system.

Generally I really like the product a lot, so here is a few things to consider
You need to build design framework for your integrations, as there is a lot of different ways to go about creating the integration.
Errorhandling should also follow a framework, so that the different types of error are caught the right way and information is sent to the right people. Technical error are send to IT and data errors are sent to the right business unit.
I really recommend finding some experts in boomi to get started the right way. Otherwise you could end up with very complex integrations for no reason.

Boomi is solving all kinds of business problems. Generally doing the bulk load of work in terms of business partner communication, customer invoicing, finansial data collecting. We could not run the business without having a iPaaS doing so much.
