Does what it says on the tin.
What do you like best about the product?
NordLayer was easy to set up and manage for my team. We needed both the security of a VPN and a static IP for the whole team and NordLayer gives us both at a price that is in line with the competition.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it is a bit pricey but the alternatives are too so if you need a VPN and it is worth it for your company to pay for it then I think NordLayer is a fine choice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NordLayer gets all of my developers onto a single IP address which I can then use for whitelisting into our cloud environments making security an easy thing to set up and maintain.
Great most of the time!
What do you like best about the product?
I have a fiber connection and as most people know, VPNs do impact your speed, however the impact for me is minimal, speed test clocking in at 79mbps down for a 100mbps connection.
What do you dislike about the product?
On occassion, some of the servers you connect to will be slow, possibly they have many users connected or a lot of data passing through that server, but a quick reconnect fixes it right up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our new work from home age many people have insecure networks in their homes and many people work in communal areas so having a VPN helps improve their security.
Secure but slow
What do you like best about the product?
Enhanced Security and sharing a static IP between multiple remote workers
What do you dislike about the product?
Significant slowdown of upload and download speeds for users in Washington State, while users in Toronto don't get a similar level of speed degredation

NordLayer Review
What do you like best about the product?
NordLayer is easy to install and configure, plus it just works. You set it up and basically forget it. I like that it then allows us to limit our software to the NordLayer IP address for increased security.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain websites, such as my banking website, do not like NordLayer and will not connect. It seems that they interpret our IP (in a different US state) as being too far away geographically, so it triggers a security issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use NordLayer to solve the problem of setting up a VPN. Since NordLayer is easy to setup and based in the cloud, there is very little configuration that is needed.
Terrible for Enterprise
What do you like best about the product?
Nothing. I do not have a positive review about Nordlayer. In fact, the only reason we still use Nordlayer is because we have not had the time to switch to another provider. As soon as we do, we're dumping Nordlayer for good.
What do you dislike about the product?
I use the Linux client. It is very unreliable. For no reason, the status frequently goes from "Connected" to "Failed. And everytime it does, I have to restart my laptop for it to work again. That kills productivity.

We use Nordlayer as a gateway to our computing infrastructure, on AWS. To access any of our server, a person must have a Nordlayer account under our organization.
Great VPN for Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up and add users. Lots of servers
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not unlock certain sites even when connected
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows my teams to access Geo-restricted application that is necessary for my business
Very user friendly and fast to setup
What do you like best about the product?
Fast and easy setup. Apps for windows, Linux, macOS and iOS. SSO support for google. Everything works as expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes one of our dedicated servers slows down the traffic, but we never know if that's the fault of the local connection or the target server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having dedicated IPs company-wide with integrated gsuite.
Deployed in under 30 minutes
What do you like best about the product?
We deployed NordLayer to provide local gateway IPs to international employees and limit access to non-production environments. Provisioned users with Okta and users online in under 30 minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have nothing negative to say about this service. Sales & support are exceptional and we've yet to experience any vendor-related downtime. End-user setup is simple and smooth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reserving dedicated gateway IPs for access to non-production environments & internal services. Easily provisioning access and deploying clients to end-users. Security simplified.
Best choice to secure the network since day one
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and can be started immediately; impressive customer service. Server reliability and availability are excellent. Competitors are costly, and the implementation is quite challenging.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their server is limited; I hope the server list expands to many potential countries, especially those with exponential growth in the startup model. For advance, configurations are not ready yet in the dashboard, requiring contacting customer service over email or chat.

Simplicifty
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of deployment for personal and professional usage.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there is a little bug after a screensaver or standby. We need to kill and restart the process. Maybe it will be interesting to have some statistics about the traffic passthrough Nordlayer
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nordlayer solved a problem of a dedicated IP to have secure access to a specific environment. The system is in the cloud. We don't need to have the on-prem infrastructure.
