Online backup of 365 and Google Workspace that's as simple as possible.
What do you like best about the product?
Dropsuit is incredibly easy to set up. As long as you have admin access to Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace you should be able to have it up and running in a matter of minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd really like more free shared mailboxes to be granted for Microsoft 365. It doesn't back up Google Notes. There are probably a few other aspects of each host that could be backed up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Microsoft and Google make no promises about backing up the data stored on their platforms. Dropsuite fills that gap for us, meaning we can tell our clients they can rest assured their valuable data is safe.
Our choice after a lot of research
What do you like best about the product?
Their engineering first approach gives me some peace of mind regarding their feature set and their realiability. I like that they are audited on a regular basis by an external third party. That provides me a lot of reassurance. Their product has worked flawlessly so far, but many competitors work well also, so anything that can bring that extra peace of mind is important. Unlimited storage and time are great, but becoming more common. Simple price per user, no hidden or additional fees, great interactions with their staff so far.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to really find something to complaint about, I would be happy with the option to know if the support techs have been reading whatever content they might have access without any motive for it. I would alsoo love to have integration with Autotask.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed an easy to setup and managed solution for backing up Microsoft 365 for our clients, without the hassle of setting up or manage our own infrastructure. Unlimited storage and retention was a must, and their archiving plan is a must for a large group of our customers.
Fantastic M365 Backup and archiving platform
What do you like best about the product?
Setup and deployment is extremely easy. It took me 5 minutes to get provisioned and backup discovery jobs started. It's tremendously easy to use, I rarely if ever have to do anything but test restores to make sure it's functioning properly. File, email, and whole mailbox restores are very easy to initiate, are relatively quick, and granular enough that I can recover the 1 thing I need rather than whole repositories.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hate having to reauthorize M365 access frequently. The 2 week reauthorization requirement is based on my own security policies at Microsoft and I could reduce the frequency, but we aren't comfortable with the ancillary effects of doing so. Otherwise, I have no complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backups for SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Exchange Online are an important part of our protection scheme. We also use Dropsuite for archiving emails for compliance purposes.
Excellent Product
What do you like best about the product?
Dropsuite is very easy to configure. Getting up and running with Microsoft365 backups is very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothign really. Maybe the interface could look a little nicer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are now backing up our client tenants without any issues. It's a configure and leave alone. We previously used another backup provider but were disappointed with them.
good product
What do you like best about the product?
easy to deploy and manage easy to run a recovery
What do you dislike about the product?
can be slow to run a recorvery. often looses connection to 365.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
backup of office 365
Comprehensive backup for Microsoft 365
What do you like best about the product?
The setup process is straightforward. Once data has been ingested, there are powerful search tools. This makes it easy to find specific data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The alerting is not as strong as I would like. There have been frequent issues with connectors to 365 that we did not receive an alert about. To be fair, it was caused by Microsoft changing their process, but I would have prefered to receive an alert rather than just notice an error in the portal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our customers need to have retention of their data in Microsoft 365. This was certainly important when it was just email data; however, with the move to the cloud, most of their file data lives in 365 as well.
