Hevo removes most of the pain points involved in data migration.
What do you like best about the product?
Configuring source and destination is very quick and easy, and data migration starts as soon as we configure things. It supports most of popular databases and warehouses.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hevo doesn't show the time taken for each run within the pipeline. Hevo only shows the time range for ingestion and loading but it can be super helpful if we get the details like ingestion/load start and end time for each individual run.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Configuring source and destination and connecting them seamlessly for any data migration seems a complex problem which Hevo is solving brilliantly. Hevo is saving lot of time which goes in configuring things and monitoring data pipelines.

Python Code Transformation UI is not very intuitive, not customizeable (as of Nov/2022, the testing interface doesn't have any sort of terminal to print to)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solves schema mutations, backfilling, source/destination syncing, saves tons of engineering time
Hevo is powerful, yet open to help with anything overwhelming.
What do you like best about the product?
A lot of functionality. ETL / Reverse ETL / Data modeling, and many more features. They provide a nice modern approach to things that for many haven't changed in decades.
What do you dislike about the product?
Resources could be more descriptive in some cases. There is a lot to learn here. Compared to some competitors, this part of Hevo is on the weaker end. Mastering hevo has a quick start but a lot to learn later.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it's covering our ETL/ELT needs and is good for transformations. It helps us to have a more stable and functional architecture with good resource and people management within.
HevoData does the job, but lots of improvements need to be made.
What do you like best about the product?
It is a relatively straightforward setup of SQL databases. The auto-mapping feature makes setting up a SQL database sync relatively quick.

What do you dislike about the product?
We have bought an annual contract for 300 million rows per month, the problem is, if you don't use your 300 million rows per month, it does not carry over to the next month, and databases never sync the exact same amount of rows every month, so you either paying for rows you never sync, or run short and then have to top up by buying more rows, this billing strategy needs to change ASAP.
The metadata date rows they add to tables are in Unix timestamp format (__HEVO__INGESTED_AT, __HEVO__LOADED_AT), which is relatively easy to work out, they should just add a proper date time data type to these metadata rows.
For all of our SQL databases, we had 1 table with about 34 million rows, but had a composite primary key of 2 columns, they could not sync these tables faster then 1 million rows per day, so it basically took over a month to sync these tables into our Snowflake data warehouse, and even after opening a support ticket, they could not increase the speed of these indivudual tabels sync to get the historical sync completed quicker.

We put all our production database data into snowflake for reporting and data analytics, and data science strategies to be done on the data.
It benefits us to have all our different data sources in 1 data warehouse for a detailed overall look at the entire company's data.

Users can only be part of one organization using Hevo

What do you like best about the product?
Hevo gives our data team peace of mind. Building a data pipeline is done in minutes and you can rely on the ingestion and loading by Hevo. It is also efficient in terms of computing required on the Snowflake side.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the auto-mapper fails or the new data pipeline fails to start. However, the support team is great and they solved quickly.

Hevo helps us move data without requiring technical skills.
Easy to use and straightforward ETL pipeline as a service
What do you like best about the product?
Transformations! It allows a data engineer to clean data within the ETL itself rather than doing it after on a post-processing level. Has been a lifesaver for a lot of our issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
The chat support doesn't always solve your queries, you need to talk to the specialist team in order to get technical help. A technical help chat would be much appreciated.

Setting up all our data in one place with the help of multiple pipelines pointing to a destination and have our data analyst team work with data on a single destination

HEVO DATA IS SAAS PRODUCT WHERE WE CAN MAKE ETL PIPELINES THEIR DYNAMIC UI AND THEIR FUNCTIONALITY IS VERY GOOD, ALSO THE PRICING STRUCTURE IS ALSO WELL DEFINED
What do you dislike about the product?
WHEN I SELECT THE TABLES WHILE CREATING THE PUBLICATION THEN WHY HEVO IS SHOWING ME TO SELECT THE TABLES MANUALLY, ANOTHER IS THE EVENT BASE PRICING IT SHOULD BE ROW BASED
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
they are providing the ETL which is very useful migrate data from one db to another

What do you like best about the product?
We set up our Google Sheet > MSSQL pipelines in a matter of minutes. It was a breeze, and so far we have had no issues. Best of all the free tier is pretty damn generous.
What do you dislike about the product?
We sync data from a Google Sheet to a MSSQL database, and we have found that there was a few cases of duplicate data being pushed from the sheet to the DB and I'm not certain how to debug or detect these anomalies moving forward without a regular manual comparison / review.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use a MSSQL database for a few core business functions, and we need the wider team to edit this information. Our team isn't very technical, and we can't give them read/write SQL access so historically the updates have bottlenecked with the technical team member.

The pipeline visibility and the frequency of new features are launched

Some connectors don't give me a clear view of what is consuming most of my credits (like some tables are being fully ingested all the time)
