IBM Cognos Usability Experiance
What do you like best about the product?
It is having attractive features to filter ot select the required criterias as per end user's need as well as having variety of integrated tools as per business requirements such as Event Studio, Query Stusio to query the extracts as well as we can use those queries in another database ide's to cross validate our requirements, it also provides the workspace to differetiate and create our own buisness reports which provide ease of usability as well as ease of implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't found as such but it could have mobile version that can be more handy to its users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is beneficial while we need customized solutions on real time data.
It solves the need of looking into historical data by making connections to the any database engines that it supports.
Help us more to make buisness decisions being one stop shop for all types of reports.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As operations analyst we tested Cognos Analytic for backlog inventory case scenario.
We had hard time since it was scary for first time and having just 30 days trial didn't impress us.
Though it allowed us and FP&A department to prepare for forecasting inventory case model

My Experience with IBM Cognos
What do you like best about the product?
With the help of IBM Congnos Analytics i am able to create good and informative dashboard and with ease , it has helped the customers with decision making and and monitoring.
And the access to mobile for the reports is very handy.

As of now there is nothing that i found which i disliked about it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping customers with detailed analysis of the data which is helping them in monitoring and decision making for their business

I liked the fact that, the dashboards and reports were dynamic and well aided software for data visualization

According to me it seems a bit complicated to learn and the features are good but it's as bit complicated and time consuming to learn, without learning operation the software is not possible

Particularly the inventory management part , when in my case the inventories mismanagement such as overstocking of certain items and stock out of other is prevented

The ability to select and play around beacuse of how intuitive the interface is and how easy it is to get started.The ability to input all sources and integrations are well thought through

Most features are not hidden and not explained properly.

Understanding wear and tear failture patterns and how the parameters are used in identification

it is not only doing analytical reporting but it helped in operational reporting. Because of its easy to understand and learn new users /leraners in this field can benefit by learning this.

It is very useful in creating BI reports in an IBM enterprise system. Creating own custom SQL queries for custom joins.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sending the report through email is not avaialable or not functional. No way to select multiple reports, individually regenerating manually and resending is the pain point which should be addressed soon.

Creating excel report for financial analysis and KPIs. Able to translate the content for multi language teams

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to connect with multiple data sources that are not only structured but also unstructured is one of the strengths of Cognos Analytics. Consequently, it is highly flexible and enables deeper analysis of various data which comes from different sources. The drag and drop interface for creating visualizations is also very intuitive and easy to use, even for those who are not technically savvy.
Another thing that I found really useful while using the software was having the dashboard feature. It allows you to monitor key performance indicators in real time while still showing the entire data at a glance. This comes handy when you need to make snap decisions or detect tendencies that require attention.

What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup and customization of the software is time-consuming, but this drawback was minor. It is worth all the effort in the end and finally, IBM’s support team were always there to help for any trouble.

IBM Cognos Analytics software helped my business to take decisions based on data and attain valuable insights. Its comprihensive features, user-friendly interface, and advanced analytics capability make it one of the best choices for analytics software.

It helps in understanding data easily without having a lot of technical knowledge.

I think the cost is a bit high and significant hardware resources are needed for it to work.

It helped me in the predictive analysis of a lot of data related to system usage and data related to cloud usage and helped in future predictions.
