What do you like best about the product?
Easy to buy, easy to deploy, with all the power of Cognos. The new interface with a cloud deployment option is a game changer for my clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took too long to get this version of the product released. IBM please put more money into the IBM analytics development team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pixel perfect reporting, report distribution, end user report creation and query, all in a modern web interface. Goodbye Tableau!

What do you like best about the product?
I like the new UI, and the new modules - like explore, dashboard and AI assistant
What do you dislike about the product?
the change from js to custom js controls was sudden & painful, and writing custom controls does not have good documentation
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am looking at call center data for relationship and insights that no one has had the resources to so far

I like the GUI which is very good now and analytics have become much easier with AI feature

What do you like best about the product?
The emphasis of trying to make businesss analyzt into data analzst via self-service tools with some advance features

The software still is pretty heavy to get going and would love to see a package solution that contains a warehouse, ETL and analytics

What do you like best about the product?
Good analytical platform and works well based on the data/access.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, there are several issues with the Cognos reporting for IBM CoC-OMS solution. We struggled using the Cognos platform for holiday support. Currently there are gaps in keeping the system in sync or run reports on a timely basis. Need to improve on this offering as operational reporting is key part for running the business.

Sourcing decisions and adjusting inventory postions as requried. Analyzing stuck orders within the OMS systems,.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. The interface has been improved to make it easier for non-IT reporters to quickly build reports. The customization and explandability of the platform and GUI tools to expland capabilities out of the box.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is almost too easy and end users quickly think they are experts without actually learning the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Cognos for business unit reporting. We have trained SMEs to build dashboards and business level reports that have severly cut the daily and monthly reporting processes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Strong self service reporting platform. Take the time to setup proper procedures and standards before rolling it out to business users for self-reporting tasks.
