What do you like best about the product?
traditional cognos dashboards serve the need of business users
What do you dislike about the product?
traditional data integration, modelling and then dashboard building process

Cognos 11 has shown us our future
What do you like best about the product?
As a long time cognos customer we were excited to learn about and build upon new data visualization options with cognos 11. Paired with our new Netizza data warehouse appliance we are able to allow our decision makers to work with data directly and find insights needed for improved decision making.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to meet our customers scorecard requests. Currently have multiple reports/jobs running to render one scorecard. Technical team reports challenges with respect to long term support ability
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hospital performance reporting including clinical accountability and financial optimization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Important to get the right resources to assist with initial build. Invest in training if needed.
easy to install but expensive

The cubing capabilities. The anility ro see dashboards on the sales performances of our team and the information about customers

Nothing really. But have not been able to do the changes myself

Reporting is resource intensive and is prone to errors and inconsistency. This product allows the FInance team to deliver reporting effective, timely, and accurately.

can not compete with the look, feel and ease of use with several of the new tools as power BI and similar.

Cognos Analytics has both list reporting and dashboarding, storytelling capabilities and there are many features that many other dashboard products do not offer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve is challenging and not much material is available for training.

Being able to deliver reports catered to users at all levels.
