The tool is easy for us and knowledge is very complet

What do you like best about the product?
I utilize Cognos behind a storage management tool. As I have been using it for awhile, the overall ease is what I like.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major comes to mind, overall I find it easy to use and provides the flexibilty needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it behind a storage management tool and it enables us to customize reporting and analytics for both internal capacity/performance and for client specific data.
Its a very good reporting product that's eaasy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
Its a powerful complex analytics tool that can handle complex query builds with various integration features. It can integrate with IBM Netezza database directly as well to suit reporting needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Time taken to learn and use and sometimes specifically to the softwares it integrates with may be a bit cumersome or challenging.

Allows us to extract data from different data sources and combined them into one report/dashboard
What do you dislike about the product?
More complex reports and large amount of data can cause the report to run slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us as a government contractor to control our projects by tracking them in terms of funding and time. I have seen a report save project managers hours of work by not having to do everything by hand.

Cognos has some of the best reporting capabilites and continues to improve dashboarding and innovate with AI features

Large footprint and can be complex for new users

Provides delivery of information to users in multiple ways including emails and integration with Teams

Its ability to see relationships throughout the data. it allows for a more in depth connection and allows for redundant data to be removed and clean up the environment

At the moment there isnt much to dislike. Im just getting into using it but so far it seems to be ok
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with reporting. working for a commercial bank, being able to identify different types of customers, or even help predict trends it makes planning more efficient
I am very please with our Cognos Analtics experience.

Learning curve is steep for new colleagues, for us as a long term users its not big deal.

Security, stability, easy to use, self reporting, modern and follows the trends. Good AI.
