What do you like best about the product?
BM Cognos Analytics stands out for its ease of use, frequent use, rich feature set, smooth implementation, strong integration capabilities, and reliable customer support, making it a comprehensive and user-friendly BI solution for organizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, the interface can feel dated, and some advanced features require technical expertise. Initial setup and customization can be complex, and performance may lag with large datasets or complex reports without proper optimization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IBM Cognos Analytics solves the problem of siloed, hard-to-access data by providing a centralized platform for reporting, dashboarding, and data visualization. It enables faster, data-driven decisions through self-service analytics, reducing dependency on IT and improving overall business agility.

Great for deep analytics, Feature-rich BI platform, and integrates well with various data sources and IBM ecosystem

Not the easiest to learn; can be tricky for beginners. You’ll need some advanced skills to fully customize and get the best out of it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IBM Cognos Analytics helps us bring all our data together in one place, which makes things a lot easier. Instead of jumping between different systems, we can pull reports, build dashboards, and actually see what’s going on in the business without the manual work.

Not so easy to build reports on a smartphone.

Happy with effortless navigation and mobility with IBM Cognos Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
We can access dashboards and reports right from our phone, which helps us to make quick decisions on the go. The web interface is also super easy to use, there is hardly any learning curve. Also, it connects easily with our cloud, apps and databases.
What do you dislike about the product?
When working with complex datasets, the tool's performance slows down sometimes. There is definitely some improvements are needed in how data is optimized for a smoother experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It improved our buisiness process agility. Reduced our decision-making time.

Sometimes it is slow and a few parts look old.

It helps me see and understand data easily. I can make reports faster, find answers quickly, and make better choices at work.

What do you like best about the product?
User group distribution and capacity management are well supported. I can easily manage user roles and permissions, and the integration with Planning Analytics and Azure AD is straightforward. We have reliable and responsive access to IBM support, which has been very helpful. I use the product frequently and find the navigation highly intuitive and user-friendly. The product’s installation and configuration are easy to implement.

At times, I encounter some difficulties when using filters to build reports.
