Excellent tool for all the Data Integration related tasks!
What do you like best about the product?
Airbyte can be integrated to various platforms to get the error reports. The community response is quick. The data handling of Airbyte is seamless providing great experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
For a small-sized company of 200-500 employees with data reaching around a billion rows, Airbyte is a bit costly. Had it been available for a little less, it would check all the boxes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The data integration among various sources have been made easy and the pipelining for the flow of data is quite flawless. Also, the error reports comes quickly enabling us to correct them in time avoiding major data blunders.
Cheaper than Fivetran, easier than Debezium
What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive, simple where it can be but it doesn't hide necessary complexity.
Good story around managing schema migrations. Great that it works so well with WAL.
Good story around managing schema migrations. Great that it works so well with WAL.
What do you dislike about the product?
The error messages can be a bit opaque. We had a table called "group" that clearly obscured some variable name or something, and it took some guessing to figure out what was going on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Syncing data from a production database to a data warehouse. It's significantly cheaper than Fivetran, while also being much more intuituve and more "honest" about its inner workings.
Simple and amazing product
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, and comes with a self-hosted option so you can try before you buy.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides as such. We've really enjoyed using Airbyte.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airbyte makes it easy for us to sync our data across data sources. For eg: being a small team, we use Airtable as our sales CRM. However, it's usually difficult to perform complex analytics on this data directly on Airtable. Using Airbyte has allowed us to sync our CRM data from Airtable to Postgres, and now we can write SQL to query this data. Magical.
Airbyte is easy to install and make data handling easier
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to install and setup. The UI / UX is easy to understand and not a lot of configurations needed to get it up and running. Also the concept of source and destination make everything reusable and easy to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing bugging us is the fail-big process. Meaning if something is wrong in the synchronization, it needs to redo the whole process again. Also the transformation configuration could be made easier to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sync OLTP with data warehouse.
Very convenient and easy to set up for quick ETL pipelines
What do you like best about the product?
Airbyte provides a straightforward way to ingest data from different sources into our data warehouse. The biggest benefit is it allows us to skip writing custom ETL code for each data source.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, the self-hosted version doesn't have a user management feature yet, so rolling it out to a larger team is not yet as streamlined as other OSS tools. But, it's a minor and temporary gap which I'm sure would be filled in a future release.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's very convenient for rapid ETL setup, currently used for non-critical datasets. The main benefit is cost savings in terms of time which otherwise would have been spent on writing custom code.
