Esentire Review
What do you like best about the product?
Esentire has always been on point when it comes to cyber security, investigations, and rapid response. Their SOC team is easy to reach and provides for a thorough investigation when requested as well as mitigation tactics when required.
What do you dislike about the product?
No significant downsides with respect to services provided to note as of yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Esentire provides for SOC 24x7x365 monitoring and their sensor appliances allow for anomalous network behavior/intrusion detection in conjunction with various endpoint cyber security agents which provide for threat detection/mitigation and device isolation (air gapping) if required.
It is comforting to know that Esentire has trained cyber security experts threat hunting and monitoring the network/endpoints around the clock.

What do you like best about the product?
The responsiveness, flexibility, and ability to tailor security solutions for your organization makes eSentire truly feel like more of an extension of your IT organization rather than a business partner. For example, for managed services we have had the same point of contact for several years now and they truly understand our environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The maturity of their customer portal offering is still in progress, but team's responsiveness more than makes up for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Extending my internal security team with additional resources and expertise to allow us to focus on other day to day activities and projects.
Great product. Amazing service. Helping to bring multiple cyber pieces together.

Customer service. Response speed. The value that SOC brings on top of technologies.

Luck of proper reporting is our biggest concern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility across multiple siloed technology stacks - endpoint, network, vulnerability, cloud, SIEM.
eSentire Managed Detection and Response (MDR)
What do you like best about the product?
Customer service, response, attention to detail.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hardly a dislike, perhaps with the recent growth, SOC team response are slightly slower.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Resources and the ability to have SOC team run analysis on a particular threat is very handy.
Great experience with eSentire MDR!
What do you like best about the product?
It was straightforward to get set up. I was given the installation files for Carbon Black and was able to install them easily across the organization. There was no customization needed and I easily saw all my endpoints in the portal.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have too many negative things to say. Sometimes I'm concerned it's not working since we don't receive too many alerts from endpoints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm trying to detect anomalous behavior and gaining the ability to isolate a host if needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
With eSentire you get to pick the underlying EDR which gives you the best monitoring and a choice of the product at the endpoint.

What do you dislike about the product?
Frankly, there are no issues with eSentire. I have been using the company since their inception and I would not build a network without their protection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cybersecurity consulting, Intrusion detection, policy creation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
eSentire's greatest strength is their human staffed Network Operation Center (NOC) - When your network is under attack, you will have the benefit of the automated responses of any other MDR but in addition, the added protection of actual people safeguarding your systems, making sure the appropriate resources are in play. This can not be overstated.
eSentire - A powerful MDR that keeps moving in the right direction
What do you like best about the product?
eSentire provides a comprehensive MDR solution that is scalable for companies of any size. Their SOC is incredibly responsive and gives us near-instant insight into suspicious activity on endpoints and network assets. Of late, eSentire has been closely partnering with Microsoft, aligning well with our increased leverage of Azure resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have, as of yet, anything I could claim to dislike about eSentire. They have been a great partner from the beginning of our engagement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
eSentire has helped us increase our security posture significantly, providing 24/7 365 monitoring of a wide array of firm resources, significantly increasing my ability to sleep at night.
Consistent dependable identification and response
What do you like best about the product?
eSentire have managed to perform consistently through the duration of the service with events identified and alerted on in a timely manor.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formal responses to known vulnerabilities can take time to reach clients, often having already broken in the media.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Lessons were learnt on both sides when implementation the solution with a managed service provider. Not ensure upfront workshops and knowledge sharing was performed hence a very piecemeal delivery. But we got there in the end

Lack of cloud solutions and management reporting solutions could be improved.

Lessons were learned when implementing the solution in our environment, given that we have a managed service provider. More knowledge sharing was required to fully understand the solution required.

eSentire's staff are knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Our collaboration aids organizational learning and maturity process, that comes from practical advice for process and technology as well as setting a high standard.
