Maximo, best in EAM
What do you like best about the product?
Maximo is the best system for enterprise asset management and I personally like the work centers and the Maximo Asset Health Insight add-on
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still a lot of issues with Maximo Scheduler and also missing functionalitz
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everrything in the area of asset management and service management
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Keep improving and adding work center for the new user experience
Lots of options, but not very easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Maximo moves quickly, and you can customize it to have almost any configuration of fields you can imagine. Maximo integrates well with other solutions to work across an entire organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
When the designers of a view pick a lot of fields, finding your way between them is cluttered and confusing. Also, Maximo plays better with some back-ends than others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have found Maximo works well for housing a lot of kind of siloed teams tickets, helping us to start talking to each other more, because now we can send tickets back and forth between teams.
Easy interface
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, beginner level software. Always had very little issues with data entry and repetitive function.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes our server went down, and after that would happen Maximo was unreachable for hours
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maintenance department at a global confectionery manufacturer. Logging labor, inventory and work order/service requests.
IBM Maximo
What do you like best about the product?
The best tool I have seen for Asset and Change Management
What do you dislike about the product?
Maintenance of the app itself can be tricky if you do not stay on top of it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of the entire lifecycle of our corporate apps from purchase through disposition
Not as user friendly as other similar systems
What do you like best about the product?
Not much , the search is not great and the front page is the only thing I like
What do you dislike about the product?
Scheduling and approvals on the supply management side
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning, scheduling and material management
MAXIMO - so many opportunities
What do you like best about the product?
MAXIMO is so configurable. You can make it do anything! If you can't figure it out on your own - there's a whole community of users willing to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
The data entry is cumbersome, having to type the same number over and over again to put it on multiple records. There should be a way to update fields in multiple records at the same time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking work on assets. What has been done, who did it, how much did it cost.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
MAXIMO is a workhorse. Proper setup begins with good processes and knowing what you want out of it. If you don't define the proper fields up front, you won't be able to get the data you want 3 years down the road. Use an experienced 3rd party consultant to set up your system.
Excellent Everything
What do you like best about the product?
User experience is top notch. The UI is very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Discovering that a standard option exists that I did not know about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping our inventory under control had been an issue. With many moving parts between systems and reporting tools the process to cycle count and generally manage inventory was a pain to say the least. Using mobility and diving deeper in our understanding of Maximo's material management capabilities has helped us to gain better control of all aspects of our inventory.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you don't consider Maximo then you need to increase your budget because you won't be happy with the product you end up with. Have seen too many customers switch to Maximo after failed implementations/use of other products.
Maximo 7.6.1 Changes Everything!

Nothing comes to mind. Most of what our users need to solve and do with Maximo is available to them
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The integration of Maximo with different external systems and the automation of daily activities
