Sophos MDR: 5 Years of Managed Detection Expertise.
What do you like best about the product?
The quality of the service. Sophos MDR works exactly as advertised.
The integration possibilities are great as they have a focus on integrating with 3rd party solutions.
Response times are exceptionally quick, the support you get from the MDR team is second to none.
The ease of use and implementation of the product is also great. Especially if you're already a Sophos customer using the Server and Endpoint protection.

What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to take actions on your 3rd party platforms is limited. This is considered on the roadmap though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need for an MDR solution that integrates well with your current technology deployed in your infrastructure.

Well equipped MDR with many integrations
What do you like best about the product?
As an existing Sophos endpoint protection customer, no other MDR has the telemetry that Sophos can. They had more integrations applicable to us than any competitor we reviewed.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the time of implementation, our compute stack was 6 years old and their NDR appliance has a CPU functional requirement that was native to every processor out in the last 4-5 years. We had to get a new ESXi host to run this appliance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a small IT staff for 1000 users. We need products and services that simply identifies and stop malicious activity without the need for our team to go looking for it like traditional XDR.

What do you like best about the product?
Quick and easy installation of the individual endpoints. Good support during onboarding so that no questions remain unanswered. Little need for adjustment during operation, but if there is, this can easily be done via Sophos Central. Detected threats are resolved to our complete satisfaction. Telephone contacts at the highest escalation level helpful and absolutely competent, feels like an extension of our circle of colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
The associated NDR sensor was still relatively complicated to implement at the time of its introduction. However, when it is running, it does its job unobtrusively.
There is still room for improvement when it comes to activating false-positive detections, e.g. when accessing websites for an awareness campaign. The pages can be reported, but no feedback is given as to whether these pages are now free or not. As a result, our awareness campaign did not work properly, as training links were immediately blocked as unsafe.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos MDR helps us tremendously with its expertise, which we cannot maintain 24/7 in our IT department. This raises the overall security level of the entire company.

Sophos MDR - Secure & Robust Defense
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of implemnetation and number of features bundleded help tremendiously , we also enjoy excellent customer support and found the solution easy to integrate and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is the price point , i think some consiederation should be given to the cost of MDR.

As a small IT team, we don't have dedicated resource to proactively hunt for threats and respond to issues. With Sophos MDR, we have that resource monitoring 24/7.
We were already using the Sophos InterceptX product and the MDR add-on has been the perfect fit. We opted for the managed onboarding which assisted with very detailed installation and familiarisation sessions for what is an advanced product under the hood.

False positives can build up but the community boards are great places for understanding the mechanics behind these.

By leveraging advanced analytics and threat intelligence, it detects and mitigates threats in real-time, reducing the risk of successful cyber attacks.

We don't need to staff our own SOC. This saves us time and money.
We have a level of insurance in the event of an incident.
We have ease of mind knowing that our network is being watched 24x7.
We get monthly reports on the health of our endpoints.

Response to suspicious activity is immediate and we are informed quickly.

Some of the investigative tools in the console can be convoluted.

Sophos MDR and NDR
What do you like best about the product?
Easy access to a professional SOC team. It will not be possible to have a 24 x7 SOC team in house so having MDR is a piece of mind for all IT heads.
What do you dislike about the product?
None. Just wished there was a single onboarding manager to cover all elements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A 24 x 7 managed security detec and response team for all security needs. It works well with a Sophos firewall solutions, Sophos anti virus and NDR solutions together so they cover all elements.
