Makes understanding your users feel easy (and even fun)
What do you like best about the product?
What I love about PostHog is how everything just makes sense once you start using it. It’s super intuitive and gives you full control over your data — no black boxes, no weird limits. I like how you can see what users are doing, run experiments, and track real impact, all in one place. It feels like a product built by people who actually care about improving products.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, it can feel a bit overwhelming — there’s a lot you can do. But once you understand the basics, it becomes one of those tools you can’t imagine working without.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog helps me understand how people actually feel when using the product — not just what they click. As a designer, it’s amazing to see real user journeys, replay sessions, and connect those insights directly with experiments and features. It closes the gap between design, data, and decisions.
Comprehensive and Secure, But Takes Time to Master
What do you like best about the product?
It's comprehensive, fairly straightforward, has good instructions and documentation, and good privacy options. Pricing seems reasonable, and they have a free option to try it out while your site still has fairly low traffic.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's still a little challenging to understand and implement, seems to still be blocked by privacy plug-ins (although there is probably a way around that which I haven't found yet). Although it's a little complex, it's probably pretty straightforward to setup and use for as comprehensive as it is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is giving me more comprehensive analytics, session replays etc.
Excellent Branding and Docs, but Visualization UX and New Docs Structure Need Work
What do you like best about the product?
Great branding, open source, solid documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like more control over event deduplication, some of the data visualization UX is clunky, I really don't like the new PostHog OS documentation structure. It's cute but actively less information rich and I think that's the wrong tradeoff for a dev tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We track basic application usage and marketing site engagement.
Effortless Feature Management & Fast Implementation
What do you like best about the product?
I find the feature flags of PostHog highly beneficial, allowing me to ship features very quickly. The ease of setup was great and very straightforward, significantly reducing initial friction. Additionally, I appreciate the ease of use documentation, which guides the usage of PostHog effectively.

All-in-One Solution with Great Basics, But Transition Can Be Tricky
What do you like best about the product?
all in one software solution is the best thing
What do you dislike about the product?
it can be tricky to move away like sentry has so much more features but even basics like filters and the emails are automatically setup, similar product tracking which is good but mixpanel has nicer charts and easier to find metrics
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
analytics, errors, festure flags
PostHog, the most comprehensive analytics platform.
What do you like best about the product?
In short, PostHog is doing a great job. It stands out as a comprehensive analytics platform available on the market today. From its pricing to its range of features, it is well-suited to support the needs of startups.
What do you dislike about the product?
After provide error tracking capabilities, I don't have any complaint about PostHog anymore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to track user behavior and also to manage our own consent preferences.
Effortless Setup That Sets a New Standard for Software
What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to get started, and it just works out of the box.
What do you dislike about the product?
It makes me hate the other software I use even more
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently we are only using it to view user behavior on our platform, but we want to start using the A/B testing and feature flag capabilities
User-Friendly Interface & Budget/Startup-Friendly, some API and MCP Setup Issues
What do you like best about the product?
Peak is a very user-friendly platform, and I find it much easier to understand compared to Amplitude. I also appreciate the company culture. What stands out most for me is how budget-friendly it is—I haven't spent a single dollar so far, yet we've managed to set up a lot. I use it daily to monitor our web analytics, and right now I'm learning how to build out the entire product analytics structure for our product. Another feature I like is the ability to integrate with Stripe and simultaneously track our LLM's costs. It's also reassuring that Posthog provides customer support from people with technical expertise.
What do you dislike about the product?
Had problems setting up the API and MCP. Lost at first with the autocapture and the 100+ properties, but found my way to understand them after docs reading and talking with Max <3
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My overall perspective on using Posthog is that it will help me gain insight into the direction my startup is taking. There is still much for me to learn about concepts like north-star metrics, especially since this is my first time approaching this seriously. However, I can see that Posthog offers not only a solid product but also a supportive community, along with helpful documentation and playbooks. The platform is user-friendly, making it easier for me to adopt the process and explore its features in greater depth.
PostHog is a quick and easy way to monitoring every aspect of your app
What do you like best about the product?
It's free, it's open source, it's packed with features that are super easy to install
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, nothing. It's been a pleasant experience
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need a privacy-first analytics tool, and PostHog provided me with this, and then more with session replays, error catching and A/B testing
Great Real-Time UI Event Capture
What do you like best about the product?
Capture UI events in real time automatically and play back clearly in session recording.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need to spend some time to figure out configuration after self-hosted PostHog installed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for everyday product analytics, and can straight into session replays to see what users actually did instead of reading logs or charts
