What do you like best about the product?
Its simple to use. Once you have defined what you want to track and you have labeled it, you can measure almost anything
What do you dislike about the product?
usability sometimes is not the best. And it was confusing to find how to raise a tech support tickets, as the "email us" link wanted to open my email from the windows app
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
tracking usage. Funnels and conversion rates. I can go to it and build a dashboard after some issue occurs, since data is been keep as sun as you integrate

A good tool in constant evolution
What do you like best about the product?
The events and insights that can be generated using the tool, connected to existing recordings. This ease of navigation, which was a recent evolution in the interface, manages to make investigations much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new charging model for recording videos doesn't make much sense. The video recording tool itself has some inconsistencies. Sometimes it is very difficult to deal with data masking and many things generate uncertainty about what is happening in the application and what is not being captured in the
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting everything that happens to data, both user behavior and what happens in our backend. This broad view helps us to be more assertive to evolve the product.
A surprising amount of functionality for free. A no-brainer for any frontend project.
What do you like best about the product?
PostHog is one of many tools out there that let you walk in your users' footsteps and view your website the way they do. It's a great tool for diagnosing problems, polishing UI, or just for understanding how your product is being used in a way that goes deeper than simple usage analytics can.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the PostHog filtering for recordings to be a bit more difficult to use than other services I had tested. Perhaps this was because I was hung up on trying to do things the way other services did them.
Ultimately, it took me a few tries to be able to retrieve a session recording via IP address, something I do to investigate support tickets.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When a customer emails you blindly that they "got an error" you're in the dark. PostHog is liking turning on the lights. You can discern what error was likely to have been encountered, and even see any other messages or console logs that might have contributed to the problem.
It's very powerful and removes a lot of the guesswork out of supporting a frontend tool in public.

Good tools for observability, augmented with helpful analytics
What do you like best about the product?
The most valuable feature we get from PostHog is the embedded DOM recording feature. This is a huge part of our customer success process and our debugging workflow. Additionally, the feature flag & cohort functionality has been helpful in delayed rollouts of features.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, we have been unable to get much value on the backend-instrumentation with PostHog. We use it a little bit for tracking errors with Sentry, but it does not add much further context or insight for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog helps us to assist customers who are struggling to use aspects of the application (whether due to bugs or UX difficulty). This has greatly helped our relationships with users on the platform.
PostHog makes it easy to understand user experience and how to increase conversion rates.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the funnels feature the most. It allows you to understand what features of your website and services lead to conversions and how you can increase those conversions.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not the most intuitive for users. In my experience, there aren't a ton of resources out there explaining what all of PostHog's features mean and how they can be used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is closing the gap between what users and customers say about their experience and their actual actions. While we conduct user interviews to better understand customer behavior, PostHog lets us watch what out customers are actually doing.

What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike about Posthog. There is a learning curve to figure out the exact analytics you are looking for and set up your dashboard, but that is an easy hurtle to overcome. The only feature I am currently missing is notifications when certain events reach a threshold.
