Gets the job done, great ui and features!
What do you like best about the product?
One of the things I like best about PostHog is its intuitive user-interface. It's easy to use and navigate, allowing me to quickly get up and running with the product. I also appreciate the feature set that PostHog offers, allowing me to quickly get insights into user behavior and track user events, so I can make better decisions. Finally, I love the customer support that PostHog provides, as they are always quick to respond and provide helpful solutions to any problems I may have.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I appreciate the features that PostHog offers, I do have some critiques. For instance, I find the pricing model to be a bit expensive, especially for smaller companies or those on a budget. Additionally, the user-interface can be a bit clunky at times, making it difficult to find certain features or settings. Finally, some of the customer support reps have not always been as helpful as I'd like them to be, which can be frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is helping me make better decisions by providing me with insights into user behavior and tracking user events. This has allowed me to better understand how users interact with my product, so I can make better product decisions. Additionally, the intuitive user-interface makes it easy to navigate and use, so I can quickly get up and running with PostHog. Finally, the customer support team is always available to help me with any questions or issues I may have, so I can get the most out of the product.
The only self-hosted product analytics ... and getting better
What do you like best about the product?
It's the only product analytics tool that allows for companies to self-host the solution and own and control user data. We found the feature set and range of analytics and charts to be on par with existing solutions like Amplitude and Mixpanel, but couldn't use those solutions due to our client data obligations.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to have more content around onboarding a product team onto the tool. Otherwise, all good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As product company, the product and commercial teams had a massive blindspot in understanding how users actually use our products. with Posthog, using funnels, recordings and situational analyses, we identified drop-offs, blockers to user journey and changed our roadmap to fix these blockers.
Great for segmenting product stats
What do you like best about the product?
Creating and downloading cohorts to analyze offline
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't see unique ID data points unless creating a cohort and downloading
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to see which users are converting on our website and which path has higher conversion rates
Excellent user interface and easy to setup, sometimes might drop events (probably and us not you)

Ease of setup, very much plug and play. Setting up development environment super simple. Recordings come in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I appear to have dropped events and investigating exactly why is frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Posthog provides us with metrics at every stage of our sales funnel which we can use to drive optimisations on our site. It also benefits our operations team as they can review recordings and help customers.

What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to easily import my own datasets onto Posthog.
Running some SQL on the platform would be nice too.

Great app to view customers insights
What do you like best about the product?
Gives us great insights into how our customers are interacting with our platform
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major yet! Only minor pet peeve is how many clicks it takes to get to some filters
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Debugging customer issues by reviewing the steps they followed, so we can recreate it at our end
Great, easy experience with Posthog
What do you like best about the product?
I like session recordings - they let me see how exactly users are interacting with features and depict clearly at which points of a particularly workflow they are experiencing frustrations
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboarding tools could definitely be more comprehensive. I would like to be able to reorder the bar charts when displaying my data using that. The dashboards could also look better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is helping my team and I to understand how users are interacting with our product, and what the areas for improvement are. We have also used it for tracking which accounts are currently facing issues.
Phenomenal, approachable product for early stage startup needs
What do you like best about the product?
Best aspect of PostHog is its approachability—competitors like Amplitude, Segment, Mixpanel, etc. are overly complex for what we needed. Super easy to set up and use. Also, session replay is incredible.
What do you dislike about the product?
One negative of PostHog is intuitiveness (or lack thereof) for more complex dashboards and integrations. For example, while some dashboards are set up for you as examples, other seemingly common metrics require a bit of digging to find. Once you get the hang of things, this is fine—but it's a bit of a gap in the otherwise approachable onboarding experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This meets pretty much all of our telemetry / metrics / cohorting needs. Even the simple feature flagging option is enough to replace other dedicated platforms like LaunchDarkly—again, at least for our current earlier stage.

What do you like best about the product?
PostHog allows for multiple dashboards and segmenting things by various projects. I like the ability to see groups of various dates to see how performance is going for various metrics

1. No ability to sum up multiple metrics in one dashboard.
2. No ability to compare periods - i.e. last 7 days vs previous 7 days.
3. Exported data in gsheets gets put in horizontally vs vertically making it hard to pivot/organize

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is allowing us to view aggregate user behavior and adoption rates of various versions of our product - usage, active users, conversion rates, UTM sources, etc.
PostHog is an easy-to-adopt platform to gain a deep understanding of your customers' product usage
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it was to get started and that the platform encourages low-code configuration to get to impactful insights
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to say, as I really love the tool. I wish I had a little more flexibility in how I segmented data visuals beyond a single "group by" field

Understanding how our customers use our product to make customer-driven decisions for how we evolve our product. It also enables Customer Success to measure the success of user adoption after we perform training sessions
