Amazing ALL in use Analytics Experience

  • March 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Advanced insights of user behaviour, not only offering detailled analytics, but all linked with session replays and heat maps to understand detailled feature usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Remove branding costs way to much, otherwise fair pricing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We identify bugs directly trough rage clicks and session recordings and track perfectly our feature usage and importance.
Soon we will sue it for A/B testing and mobile app launch.

Easy to use and understand

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly and easily get set up and tracking elements such as session recordings has made it an essential piece of my day-to-day tech stack. I integrated PostHog with my SvelteKit app in minutes. Although I have not had to contact any customer support yet, I can see responses to questions on their system and emails to send enquiries to if necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main issue I have had thus far is the volume of logging being created and no quick access delete-all buttons on the platform. I would have to use the API to query and perform actions to do this, which although doable is more effort than it should be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is making analytics for my applications easier to understand than Google Analytics has been. Also additional features, namely the session replays, is proving more valuable data.

Winning in time efficiency!

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Posthug for the past 2 weeks, and my feedback is that the platform has great features, particularly the session reply that I'm using is simple yet great, and helps me save time and be more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
A suggestion for improvement: in the first look, the filters are not very user friendly. If they were easier to set, that'd have been great. There are some filters that I expect to have an accessible option there by default, such as search by username or search by company (in email info). Other than that, everything is good to me so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been using Posthug for the past 2 weeks, and my feedback is that the platform has great features, particularly the session reply that I'm using is simple yet great, and helps me save time and be more efficient.

PostHog Game Changing a Marketing team

  • March 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity, easy to integrate, excellent UI/UX, smooth user navigation, custom events, user identification, and screen recordings. Also, the documentation with Q&A is awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lazy loadings and not being able to query data from different projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simple for non-tech people to analyze data and insights and very useful features as user identification and session replay. But, mainly, being easy for non-tech people to navigate and explore the product measurement, that's why we moved from the GA4.

Best Analytics Hands Down.

  • March 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simple to set up for product teams.

UI is a 10000x better than Google Analytics.

Perfect for product teams to find the data they need to make decisions.

Support and Transparency is bar to none.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to have a few more examples of intermediate-advanced use cases showcasing how to use Posthog with different business models (SaaS, FinTech, eCommerce, etc...).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking how users use our product.

The best option for early stagers

  • March 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Implementation/integration is easy and there are plenty of useful features, like removing test data and clutter, recordings, surveys etc. Never had to use customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is a bit heavy, there should be also more guidance for using the dashboard. It could be more product-team-friendly. So be aware of using it if you are not technical at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Tracking what user do and values on my applcation
- Gathering useful data for bug squashing
- Giving insights about user behaviour

Open-source flexibility, though its steep learning curve and occasional performance hiccups

  • March 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that PostHog is open source and highly customizable, it gives complete control over your data while offering robust features like session recordings and event tracking for truly data-driven decisions.
Its search is good, specially the adding any custom on our own feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
a steep learning curve, i experience downtime once, slowness in watching video sessions and the UX around the video player
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After our customer reports an issue, we followup the trace to solve and posthog helps us with the session replays to understand and reproduce the issue better

Session Replay is awesome

  • March 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I was able to get PostHog to work in a Kotlin Multiplatform app. After setup, I was able to see how my users perceive the app, what visual bugs they run into, etc.
I like that it shows taps, and logs too! i was not expecting to see logs from my apps along with the videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hmmmm, it was a bit complicated to setup, but it wasn't terribly difficult.
It seems like there are a number of other great features too, but I don't want those just yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring that the design / words / text element spacing our international users see is high quality UX / UI on their mobile devices.

Better than expected!

  • March 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Session replays are super useful, didn't realise this was all possible. Assumed Google Analytics was the best, tried Posthog on the off chance and was pleasantly surprised.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little overwhelming, it's fairly easy to find what you need but there are a lot of other options I'm still yet to explore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Showing which parts of my site get the most engagement and grab the users attention, but also where they're coming from and what kind of audience I have.

Good Experience with Posthog

  • March 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The free tier is very useful and have a lot of tools to improve tha analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like that UI is a little confused, so much details in the screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog is being like a tool to replace a lot of another in one. For example: I can use the analytics metrics like as Google Analytics, session replays like as Hotjar and Web Vitals like as Google Lighthouse.
