A Versatile, User-Friendly Analytics Powerhouse
What do you like best about the product?
I find PostHog to be incredibly easy to use and appreciate its user-friendly interface. The extensive toolset feels like getting significant value for money. The unique and inviting design enhances the overall experience. I'm impressed by the thorough feature for setting up experiments, which rivals even Google Optimize. The session recording and experiment features are particularly impressive. PostHog offers valuable insights into my portfolio's user engagement and helps optimize strategies effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like the range of products PostHog offers can be overwhelming. While it provides a wide array of tools, navigating through all these options can be a bit complex and might benefit from a simplification.

What do you like best about the product?
The toolbar makes local prototyping quick without having to configure multiple envs

Feature flags and A/B for now
Powerful tool for experimentation and web analytics
What do you like best about the product?
I liked the fact that, in addition to meeting the specific needs I needed for experimentation, Posthog offers quite powerful web analytics capabilities. This has helped me obtain more accurate campaign data, which I consider a huge benefit.
What do you dislike about the product?
What we've struggled with is the implementation. It's a complex implementation, not as simple as experimentation tools more focused on marketers. But I believe it's predictable, since it's a tool more focused on developers.
Still, it gives us a lot of autonomy. And because we're using the self-hosted version, despite some missing features, we've had excellent monthly costs. (The cloud version also has reasonable costs compared to competitors.)
Having previously used other tools, I missed the cloud version's greater cost predictability. The usage per action or processing makes the bill difficult to predict.

Using that data, I implemented small improvements through feature flags and A/B testing, and the results were immediate. The customer experience noticeably improved, and the store’s GMV saw a positive impact. What I appreciated most was that every adjustment was based on actual user behavior data rather than assumptions.
Analytics the way they were meant to be for engineers and product people
What do you like best about the product?
It allows us to manage web, and expo (react-native) analytics easily in one place while also giving us out-of-the-box session replays for easier error identification. This unified setup reduces the need for multiple tools and integrations, saving both development time and maintenance overhead. By bringing all analytics and session insights together, it also makes it easier to spot patterns across platforms and quickly debug issues that may otherwise be hard to reproduce. In turn, this leads to faster fixes, better product decisions, and a smoother experience for end users.
It’s also easy to set up for multiple platforms, which makes life much simpler for developers, while being powerful enough for product teams to dig deep into metrics and understand not only what’s happening but where those numbers come from. Features like MAX AI unlock even more value by letting teams ask natural language questions about user behavior, generate reports without writing SQL, and discover unexpected patterns automatically. This combination of developer efficiency and product intelligence is truly the sign of an amazing UX.

What do you dislike about the product?
While it may lack certain features compared to its competitors, I haven't found that this has affected my ability to perform the main duties of my job. Some advanced reporting options and integrations could be more robust, and there are occasional limitations when compared with larger enterprise-focused analytics platforms. However, the core functionality is strong enough to cover the majority of everyday use cases, and the trade-off often results in a cleaner, less bloated experience. In practice, this means that while there are some gaps if you’re looking for highly specialized capabilities, the tool delivers reliably on the metrics and insights that truly matter day to day.

A very nice test of a absolutely incredible product

I love the session replays as well as the error tracking providing me insights to were stuff is going wrong. It is really nice to have the feature to add users as often as I want and to have a fully gdpr compliant use of this product. Setup was so easy, everything got working after a few minutes after signing up.

Powerful analytics platform that feels ready to use out-of-the-box
What do you like best about the product?
I’m really impressed by how advanced and easy to use PostHog’s LLM analytics and revenue analytics are. They feel like they were built for my workflow and don’t require a lot of setup before becoming useful. It’s rare to find a tool that combines powerful features with such quick time-to-value.
What do you dislike about the product?
The sidebar can feel a little crowded at first, and it took me some time to get used to navigating everything. Once I got acquainted it was fine, but the initial learning curve could be smoother.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PostHog helps me centralize product analytics, digital analytics, and session replay in one place, which means I can deeply understand user behavior without relying on multiple tools. The revenue analytics and LLM analytics features are particularly valuable because they give me clear visibility into both product performance and business impact. This helps me make faster, data-driven decisions, track feature adoption, and prioritize improvements with confidence. Overall, it saves time, reduces costs, and gives me actionable insights that directly support growth.
