From concept to deployment in weeks: fast, structured, and collaborative

  • June 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is the ability to curate, brand, and deploy high-quality training paths quickly using CourseBuilder. Coursera’s catalog offers global expertise on emerging topics like AI, with recognized micro-credentials that boost learner motivation and employability. The platform provides flexibility in structure, pacing, and integration, and the support team is highly responsive — making collaboration smooth even during tight rollouts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features could be enhanced to better support large-scale deployments. For example, expanded API capabilities would streamline automation for enrollment and tracking. More localized content in French would also improve accessibility for non-English-speaking learners. Lastly, greater flexibility in progress tracking and badging would help align with external systems like our LMS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coursera for Business helps us reduce content production time, especially on complex or fast-evolving topics like AI. Instead of relying solely on in-house authors and lengthy writing workflows, we can now leverage expert-led content that is already up to date and pedagogically structured. This allows us to focus our efforts on curation, contextualization, and learner support, while offering students access to cutting-edge knowledge from world-class institutions.

This synergy demonstrates Telconet's commitment to the professional development and well-being of its team, consolidating Coursera as a strategic ally in building a more skilled and motivated work environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps a better option or ease in connecting the course results database to an external visual interface, like Power BI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are closing the gaps in staff competencies, which helps improve profiles.

Additionally, by facilitating the opening of licenses, staff can take courses of their choice, improving the work environment indicator.

It has a very broad array of courses for our direct stakeholders. Plus, we can generate very rich data through the reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some courses that are not applicable in the local context, but overall it is all good. There are also some glitches where our learners do not receive the invitation to join the program we created.

Learning with Coursera

  • June 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the variety of content on various specialized topics, endorsed by prestigious universities or companies. It is also important to develop soft skills, which is why the platform includes various skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I didn't like is that some collaborators have reported to us that the task graded by artificial intelligence is not correct. Despite meeting the rubric requirements, it is marked as not accredited, and in other courses, the mentioned PDF files are not available, which makes it difficult to progress.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The motivation among the collaborators improved as they felt heard and considered. Shortly, we will review whether the job objectives are being met and the functions are being improved, in accordance with the acquired knowledge and developed skills.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Coursera for Business is the combination of world-class content and flexible learning paths that cater to diverse learner needs. The platform’s industry-recognized certificates add real value to learners’ careers, while the intuitive interface and strong customer support make it easy for organizations like UNIRAZAK to implement and scale learning initiatives effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Coursera for Business offers a robust learning platform, one area for improvement could be deeper integration with some internal systems to simplify enrollment and progress tracking. Additionally, expanding more localized content and language options would help better serve diverse learners and enhance accessibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coursera for Business is solving the challenge of providing accessible, high-quality upskilling opportunities to a diverse learner base across UNIRAZAK. Boosting student employability through microcredentials embedded in the curriculum

  • June 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What we value most about Coursera is the academic quality and diversity of its content, backed by top global institutions. The ability to integrate microcourses directly into our curriculum has been key to developing relevant competencies and strengthening our students’ employability profiles. Additionally, the tracking of progress and certifications allows us to monitor academic impact in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the challenges we face is the gap between registration and course completion: many students register on Coursera but do not complete the courses. This makes it difficult to track academic progress and measure real impact in terms of certification and learning. It would be helpful to have features that encourage continuity and provide early alerts on potential dropouts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coursera for Business has helped us address several strategic challenges:

Improving student employability: By integrating international microcredentials into regular courses, we give our students a competitive edge in the job market from the earliest terms.

Updating academic content: Coursera courses allow us to enrich our curriculum with emerging trends and up-to-date content in areas such as AI, sustainability, and analytics.

Scaling training efforts: We've been able to simultaneously train faculty and staff in key skills, without requiring in-person sessions.

Increasing student motivation beyond minimum requirements: External certifications foster greater commitment to learning and reinforce a strong sense of achievement.

It enables employees to learn at their own pace while providing companies with powerful analytics and customization tools to align training with business goals. This blend of accessibility, depth, and management insight makes it an excellent platform for continuous workforce development.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of Coursera for Business is that some advanced or niche topics may require additional hands-on practice beyond the online courses to fully master skills, which can limit immediate applicability for certain roles. Also, while the platform offers customization, larger organizations might find integration with complex existing systems occasionally challenging without dedicated IT support. Lastly, the subscription cost might be a barrier for smaller companies with limited training budgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coursera for Business addresses several key challenges faced by organizations in workforce development:

Skill Gaps and Rapid Industry Changes: It helps bridge skill gaps by providing up-to-date courses on emerging technologies and business practices, enabling employees to stay relevant in fast-evolving fields.

Scalability of Training: The platform allows companies to train large, distributed teams efficiently without the logistical challenges of traditional classroom settings.

Learning agility at its best

  • May 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Coursera’s skills catalog is vast, constantly updated, and consistently responsive to our evolving needs. As Admins, the ease of creating Learning Paths has been a game-changer, providing HR with an agile and powerful tool to design high-value, tailored development journeys for our people.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, final assessments, especially those requiring peer review, can slow down course completion. It might be worth considering the introduction of Skill or Course Champions, empowered to validate assessment quality independently from community feedback. This would help ensure fair evaluation, avoiding situations where feedback is exchanged with the sole intent of receiving a positive review in return.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coursera has been one of the essential tools to ensure and enhance the employability of all our people. Thanks to the powerful synergy between People & Technology, everyone at SACE had the opportunity to explore emerging and strategic skillsets—acting on future-oriented capabilities to both protect and boost their employability over time.
And, again, the numbers are certainly the first answer to give. Thanks to a tool like Coursera, it was possible to act immediately on the skill gap (both related to emerging skills like Data Insights and Gen AI skills and also related to more technical skills typical of roles in Business, Risk, IT, and HR. Thanks to a platform like Coursera, our Skill Gap Closure on emerging skills (mainly AI & Data) has seen a truly revolutionary improvement! We moved from 30% to 67% proficiency matching, with a +37% increase in critical emerging skill proficiency aligned with our business strategy.
When it comes to core skills across the different skillsets within the organization, we also managed to reduce the skill gap by 7 percentage points, going from 54% to 61% proficiency alignment.
But the most important thing is that the significant push carried out by the entire organization on the concept of learning agility laid the foundation for a radical change in people's mindset and the organization's DNA, which transitioned from being characterized by a large number of verticalities, organizational layers, and specializations to becoming an agile reality, composed of 3 organizational layers and, above all, in continuous transformation. At SACE, in 2024, 12 out of 100 people changed jobs by moving from one department to another within the organization. And all this would not have been possible without the mindset change that allowed for a shift from being role-focused to skills-focused. SACE has become (and continues to strive to be more and more) a skill-based organization that serves as a role model and trendsetter at the national and international levels.
