Fantastic 3D Simulation Creator!!
What do you like best about the product?
Solid Edge is one of the top rated tool for 3D simulation. I like it's capabilities to create simulation model for various plants which includes machinery plant as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
This tool is mainly designed for manufacturing plat simulation, so for other simulation, we need to put more efforts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps in creating simulation environment, where users can actually test the plant without actual development of the plant. This helps in finding area of improvement and gain the feasibility.
Solid Edge: A new generation of product development software
What do you like best about the product?
From my point of view, Solid Edge is a lightweight and seamless software that offers the same comparable features and compatibility and its easy Integration with Other PLM software like teamcenter. As someone who holds an associate-level certification, I appreciate how Solid Edge simplifies the rendering, material selection, joint assemblies, and simulation with its integrated functions, as well as its rendering and meshing capabilities. I appreciate Solid Edge's supports for the students either through free student version download or Solid Edge University community
What do you dislike about the product?
Solidedge is emerging software, and continously adding features and functionality.
However, it is facing competition from software like Autodesk Fusion360, and Altair Inspire studio.
SolidEdge should made compatible to the cloud as it is much lighter in running and does not require high computational power.

Solid Edge is a computer-aided design (CAD) software that solves various problems related to product design, engineering, and manufacturing.
Some of the problems that Solid Edge addresses include complex assembly designs, interdisciplinary collaboration, and efficient data management. With its advanced features and intuitive interface, Solid Edge streamlines the design process, enables designers to work collaboratively, and helps to ensure accuracy and consistency throughout the product development cycle.
As a result, Solid Edge benefits us during our student competition that is CANSAT USA, where with the help of Solid Edge our design challenge becomes so easy, and with additional features of getting certified, we get to know our peer aptitude and grasp on this software.

I love the fact that we can depend on Solid Edge for all our 3D printing needs as a software that is compatible with our machines

I didn't like the complexity of it at first, until i learned how to operate it

What do you like best about the product?
Ii is very simple tool to design product, fixtures, gauges, stamping and punching tools. I like surfacing functions due to much more easier job than CATIA.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I do the assembly there is nôt option to import step file directly.

When i make reverse engineering and overlaps between old and new release of product then I can see changes. Also it Heľpa mé with stress simulátor of forces which are ressing to the punching tool.

What do you like best about the product?
The rendering capabilities for detaling an engineering system is not negotiable for Solid Edge. Additionally the featured shortcuts save tremendous effort and time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The need for different training modules in order to start with your project. Further, the lack of different connectivity features with other platforms or softwares.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The design of complex engineering systems such as piston engine and distinguishing various systems components in order to optimise the overall performance KPIs.
Simple Yet Advance CAD software
What do you like best about the product?
It is has good user interface for 3D and 2D enviornment. Along with CAD designing it is excellent in machine animation, stress & Displace analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pattern command is but difficult one has to go through tutorials for couple of time. Also when it comes to handle large assembly files then it faces some issue to take inputs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is good CAD software used in new product development or modification in lateral stages. Early professional candidate can also able to use the tool efficently as its interface is good.

Movement of 3D/2D design is very smooth and simple, the feature of reverse modelling where

What do you dislike about the product?
Overall good, but switching between projects is slow. Maybe it varies from machine to machine, but I had the same issue with mine. The cost of solid edge is little bit high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Solid Edge for PCB designing, I like it provides constraints-based routing, which helps to reduce the complexity and reduce the eddy current. Visualising PCB in 3D view is quite helpful in positioning. Warnings/violations response is quite fast almost in realtime.
