Teamcenters makes it easy. Its ease of use makes it more accessible to users across my company.

This may not be a critique of teamcenter itself but perhaps a critique of our data structure. It can sometimes be difficult to find specific objects in teamcenter

Teamcenter is making integrations easier across our division and bringing our division closer to the next stage of connectivity.

BUgs, not fully vented before delivery to customer. Would like to have everything working before you deliver this to the customer.

My Experience on Teamcenter
What do you like best about the product?
Am using Teamcenter for the past three years. It has a user-friendly interface, and product lifecycle management is made simple by using this tool. It has very good structured change management that allows us to track and manage changes to the product, assign tasks and approval the drawings. We use this software for Bill Of Material creation, Engineering change requests, Change management, CAD data management, process and simulation management. As per the change request, drawing revisions can be made easier with all the details can be documented, which is very helpful. Teamcenter integrates and performs well with CAD software like NX and CATIA.
What do you dislike about the product?
Teamcenter has very few customizing options. It slows down, and also some errors occur while working with larger files. It requires powerful ram and high-end software for smooth functioning; otherwise hanging problem also occurs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a mechanical design engineer, Teamcenter helps me to ensure all changes made to our product are up-to-date and accurate. Using this software, we can be able to manage all 3D CAD models, design-related data, and Bill Of Material(BOM) creation. We can be able to access all department data related to a single product which helps our engineering team to analyze and improve the quality of the product design. It plays a significant role while working on revision drawings, and any changes to the product can be easily done.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Teamcenter is its wide range of diverse operations it supports be it in the area of change management like part revision, BOM revision, etc or in the area of new product release. It also incorporates a highy robust workflow process which helps in the review of each detail of part from the desired stakeholders. Also, Teamcenter is something which is almost used every day by every team member. Whenever, there is some production issue, customer supports becomes a saviour. It is also easy to integrate and implement on CAD tools like Creo.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because Teamcenter support a wide range of operation incorporating a highly robust workflow process, sometimes it becomes tough to train the begineers and new joiners about Teamcenter. To become a super-user of Teamcenter, one needs to have a lot of experience in various change management functionalities and new part release processes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By using Teamcenter, an organization tries to classify its existing products in such a way that an engineer can easy search and utilize them in future designs which saves a lot of time and design costs. Also, using and trying to release new designs using teamcenter ensures that each and every minute details gets checked and approved by concerned Design Approver and Design Reviewer which reduces the chances of errors in design and drawings.

Manage all product design related activities, the best part is change managment

Nothing much, but copying BoM structure is very tricky and if user make mistake while selectin, then software crashed
