What do you like best about the product?
Sharing files is so easy
Controlling versions became fun
No more duplication of files.
No need for mega computer
What do you dislike about the product?
may be slow for very large assemblies
Need internet connection to work

More cost effective.
Easy to collaborate
No need for IT
No need to install prorams

What do you like best about the product?
First • Do not think about having the right copy. Second • Having an idea, it is saved and seen by the team on the fly. Third • Really a fair pricing, which is scalable in minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I miss a simple viewer, which can be booked by days.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having the change as a small company to compete with state of the art CAD System and other services like FEM, BoM, Rendering, 3D-Printing, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ease of use and a simple but strong soft structure to get the ideas into sketches into drawings.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to start. Good tutorials. Responding support. Good and pleasant environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the web technology but I do not know all features and possibilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I create 3d models for 3D prints. The main benefit for me is I have a real materialized part within one hour after I get an idea. I develop and design prototypes of mechanic devices.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to use. Logical and predictable functions and features. Web technology accessible from anywhere on any computer

What do you like best about the product?
Cloud based software, requires only a decent graphics card for superb performance.

Roll back thru history
Simultaneous editing
Controlled sharing with vendors/ customers
I can pick up right where I left off, on any machine.
Files are all cloud based
What do you dislike about the product?
Gotta be on wifi.
The better your wifi, the better the response time.
Saying that, I can even login from Colombia and get stuff done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to tackle multiple formats across different business units and multiple vendors.
With Onshape machine assemblies come easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
No doubt about it.
Get it. You need this tool on your workbench.

What do you like best about the product?
Good help support and plenty of training videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do have to make a little effort to keep my work and my process organized but I can't imagine how Onshape could make that easier for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been able to go from a software and field service company to adding manufacturing to our resume without any formal training in CAD or the need for CAD to be the single focus of even one employee.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out before you buy. Watch some of the helpful training videos. Nothing else is needed. It sells itself.

    Design

Onshape finally an intelligent modeling program!

What do you like best about the product?
Onshape is really great, you can access the "software" from any computer with internet. You can also smoothly open your 3D on your iPad or your phone! I also find that I am faster in my modeling. The software is very smart and it is easy to change a dimension, your 3D adapts. The assemblies are also very easy thanks to the Fastened mates, with one click you can connect parts together. Onshape offers updates quite often and brings improvements which is very motivating. The graphics are also very well done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, maybe an improvement of the exploded view for technical drawings. Also more flexibility for the BOM.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Travailler avec une équipe. Partager des fichiers est génial. Travailler plus rapidement aussi. Partager également des fichiers CAO avec le client ou le fabricant est une grande amélioration (ils peuvent l'ouvrir facilement - pas besoin de télécharger un logiciel).

Sharing and CAD on-the-go

What do you like best about the product?
I love how powerful new features appear frequently without any effort on my part. I like how I can share my model with others and also use Onshape on my phone and tablet.
What do you dislike about the product?
Key partners are using SolidWorks, so they take a copy to work with and are not willing to make edits to the model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As the founder with limited resources, I can achieve the productivity of many people.

What do you like best about the product?
The easy task for review and sharing during design
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at the moment but have not used the full potential of ONSHAPE yet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating a design and anyone I want can make a review of the product without having a lot of different software tools.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The easy use compared with Solidworks or CATIA v5 and no need for expensive computer power

What do you like best about the product?
Making a good design means interating, iterating and iterating. With Onshape you can make changes to your design without being afraid of breaking the CAD model design intent. If an idea is not working just can go back in any point in time and continue from there.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't think of anything to dislike. It is a fantastic platform!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Developing better products in a shorter amount of time in comparison with the 'classic' file-based CAD systems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just start a project as a trial. It is more then just a CAD system.

What do you like best about the product?
The best is still idea of having professional Cad system available everywhere and can be used on any device.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to say what I dislike, if there is something its improved or implemented with the next release.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Always hardware and software issues are resolved and this is one of the main benefits
