What do you like best about the product?
Onshape is a product development tool that has taught me how I can bring the modification to my platform and how I can join my team to work together. By the help of this tool I am capable of ensuring the invention to innovation concept with in all the departments of my organization and it has enabled me to connect with the stake holders through a secure channel and enabled my team to drive more towards the product development and designing and helped us to get rid of the unwanted time file-based software obstacles.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the mobile application gets stuck and it becomes hectic to restart from the beginning. Otherwise it is a great product designing platform with so many advanced and highly developed features and functionalities. I really appreciate its all efficient services and the pricing policy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now we feel more connected in order to discuss the real-time designs and I can give my reviews and even it has provide the option on online commenting and editing so that I merge the elements to the final design. Overall it has been the great tool in all ways.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This application is very much suitable for the largest setups and those who want to bring modification to their product and believe in the power of designing. It will not only help you to organize your work but also it will boost up the working process, thus I will suggest its usage to all of you.

What do you like best about the product?
Onshape is so easy to access, you just need a computer with a browser and an internet connection. I don't have to worry about installed versions or license servers, it just works. And every three weeks it gets updated with more features!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features are still not implemented, but my wishlist gets shorter every 3 weeks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When you are in an early designing stage of you CAD project you can just start creating all kind of parts and don't worry about file names or part numbers. These can be added easily later without breaking the references in assembly and drawings. In other CAD software I used, it isn't that easy to rename parts later, sometimes you need special tools or you had to relink the references. With Onshape I can stay in the flow while designing and this is a huge time saver.

Start a trial and test it, this is the future!

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Onshape is cloud based and I can share the projects with my clients and colleagues. It is very friendly to work with. Very similar to Solidworks. People with previous experience with SW will be able to learn Onshape very very fast, start working, driving the business and earning money. I like that there is no crashes, no bugs, that you can find in other installed on PC products. I like how fast it is working, it opens every file without any problems.
The support is great. Very fast responding with the right answers. All my previous requests are closed and for now there is nothing to ask for.

What do you dislike about the product?
After all updates there is nothing to dislike. Sometimes t just takes more time, than I expect, but maybe there are priorities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I make my calculations very easy. sizes, weights, assembly fit and overlaps. Very often I use it to show picture samples in presentations.
When customer send us a STEP file I use Onshape to review the file. It is very helpful for good collaboration with the customers and I can improve response time.

You can try Onshape before paying for monthly or yearly professional account. Just note that every document that you create with free account is visible from the community (all other Onshape users).Use the learning database. It is great. Even if you forget something just write e key word in the search bar and you will find your answer. There is an option for free account. It is fully opened, no restrictions, no missing features.

It is still missing some minor features, but there's nothing really to complain about.
Development is based on user inputs and is blazing fast. So new features (most wanted) appear every 3 weeks.

An "In-program" chat and a follow-view mode give an outstanding experience for all involved parties.
Really flat and fast learning curve for non CAD users involved in the design process.
Now, it is easy to show projects and talk with the people from the outside of the company while seeing the same model, without any doubts about security.

Excellent Assembly Level Operations
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to view high level assemblies with ease and simplicity. Having the capability to understand how parts interact in such a details and simplified manor makes the experience very efficient and enjoyable.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not many downsides to using this product. There is a slight learning curve when it comes to how to properly manage your documents but once you understand it the process is very effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration with my piers is the most evident benefit I have realized thus far. The revisioning and releasing process is very clear and concise which allows for a well documented history of a part/assembly.

Make use of the training boot camp that is available through Onshape, it helps to reduce the learning curve involved with switching platforms.

The benefit of multi user modeling is great, I can keep track of what my employees are doing plus give feedback in real time

Make sure you have all the tools that your current CAD developer offers, nothing is worse than missing features. Develop a migration plan, how will you handle legacy data

When I already made a project and the staff of Onshape add new things that affect my projects.

Control of the projects of clients and it's pretty cool that I can work from others computers

Onshape is a great SAAS CAD solution.
What do you like best about the product?
We value their integration of file management with design software and the great collaboration tools prove very useful. The clean design and many functions such as their mating process are improvements over other soft used previously.
What do you dislike about the product?
They are still a developing service and lack some of the functionality of more established software. Many features such as simulation or DWG/DXF editing come through third party applications which integrate with Onshape. However, most of these work fairly well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having their technical support has been amazing, allowing us to focus on design. The integrated file management which allows version and revision control works great for service records as well as tracking a design process which was much more challenging with multiple copies of each file based on save dates.

We use Onshape for injection molded and CNC machined part designs. Great platform. Easy to use. Incredible customer support & tutorials. Really like that we can log in from anywhere without having to checkout licenses. Incredibly flexible.
