We absolutely love the power and flexibility Onshape gives us to design robots collaboratively.
What do you like best about the product?
The live multi-user modelling experience is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was better support for CAM embedded into the tool.
I wish there was more robust advanced surfacing. Something brought in from another PTC product perhaps outside of the parasolid kernel?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We design the worlds most advanced underwater drone platform. We are able to train new users fast and to collaborate effectively.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I suggest you start using it for your personal projects as well as your work projects.

What do you like best about the product?
Access to the learning center, easy to learn
What do you dislike about the product?
The large learning curve, hard to start learning as a beginner
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solved how to teach myself CAD. Easy free access is a huge benefit. Helped automate our CADing design

What do you like best about the product?
Cloud service! It's amazing being able to move between machines without having to drag a database with you.
What do you dislike about the product?
Rendering is one thing I miss since moving over to Onshape. It would be great to see that in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using it to design electrical control panels and has been amazing for it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
They have free public accounts. Give it a shot and see for yourself!
By Onshape we decreased time consumption in our Design and Development processes by 5 times;
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing in the Onshape is collaboration tools and cloud-based data where everyone can access the document very easily; For instance, we collaborate with our colleagues daily basis despite that we are located in different countries, and we are developing our products together where everyone contributes his ideas and vision which is a critical factor in product development;
What do you dislike about the product?
In general I didn't find any issues with using of Onshape in our development; I only have very specific problems which sometimes make me feel inconvenience during the working process (in Assembly);
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
again collaboration tools in Onshape which allow us to show/share our products with our customers safely and easily;
Recommendations to others considering the product:
if you are looking for a CAD system that is easy to use & collaborate, cloud-based & safe, where all the core/key features are present - Onshape is the best decision

What do you like best about the product?
It is very convenient to get access cloud and by mobile phone, wherever and whenever I need to open or edit, I can do without waiting. Also very lightweight
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is too high for entry level company also for big users on company
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Working together with teams, especially when we do teams online meeting, it is very helpful to get see realtime movement.
- Also about the documentation of parts with the part number (general parts, material, etc) it is very usefull in term of the management numbering document.
- In term of History, also Versioning, when we are forgot something, we can going back on the wrong or back to fix versioning, and hopefully it can be much better in the future.
- Tools importing in onshape has already good but still can be improved, although it is helpful for me as i usually take library of cad 3d available on internet and use it for reference etc.
- Creating parts on 1 file is very game changing on how we design since it made us a lot easier
- The most benefit that I am personally thinking about is the needs of cloud and simple. It does not need anymore to install anything, the requirement is sign in by using browser and use the cad software. Compare to the competitors, I think Onshape has the best option for company or profesional users to have this services and i believe it could upgrade the teamwork and teammatch.

I recommend others to have it; if you want to try Onshape, it can be use for free. When I'm in University, I have used it once for my project thesis.
Great collaboration and data management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Data management is top notch. Changes are automatically updated across all users, the ability to store all associated files with the part is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Completely internet reliant. Double edged sword when some of your on-site visits may not have service or Wifi, or a military base with no way to connect to the internet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great CAD with lenient hardware requirements. No need for a network admin or local server.
It's easy to use and top service.
What do you like best about the product?
That everything is in the cloud, and good service when I need help. And some good online service like how to do videos.

Sometimes I need to draw 2D drawings and that it's not so good.

Onshape help me to draw new machine and help me to make part. Help me much when I not need to be on the office to make or change drawings.

What do you like best about the product?
Their team is constantly updating and adding new content. To make it better, they actively listen to their users so they update its always to make your experience the best it can be.
Another thing that's amazing is their support. If there's ever somethings that's hard to figure out they are quick to respond and have never let our team down when we needed help.

The new color update...... I miss the blue
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
cross-team collaboration on a single project is so important. The entire way our team works now revolves around what onshape allows us to do with document sharing and revisions.
Using for automation Design
What do you like best about the product?
The cloud based software and sharing. It helps with multiple users
What do you dislike about the product?
That is using amazom web servers. I would rather they use their own infrastructure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation for small businesses. Sharing full 3d models to people's cell phones is a huge plus.
Great CAD program
What do you like best about the product?
The new features and updates that are added every few weeks. The simple layout of the tools and how they function. The rapid and straightforward way to constrain assemblies using the mates. The ease of sharing files with others inside an organization and outside. Mulitple users can be working in the same project files at teh same time. How easy it is to show models and have design reviews with the software. I like how this program is webbased so that I can open it any where and on any computer that has internet access. I like how I can have multiple windows open such that I can quickly jump between design areas of the propject. This helps increase productivity. The mobile phone app works well to show designs quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The drawing module might be the weakest area of the program.

I use Onshape in my evening time mechanical design work.
